Holy sh*t @ thinking I just discovered the state of Cyberpunk's first-person character model, when I was the one who shared a video about it in this very thread some time after the game launched. Hilarious 🤣

All of which to give us the best first person perspective in any video game to date. 🤜

And why on earth would I give a damn about the opinion of a Santa Monica studio artist. Ewww.

Wasn't Cory Barlog seen defending the game and the studio at launch? Not a good look 🤣

Imagine thinking reflection is more important than first person gameplay and interactions in a first person game. Kya jhakk mara hai Cologne mein? 🤣

Hahahahaha Little Prince "designer" thinks he knows more than a Senior Tech Animator at SSM.🤣🤣🤣

Regardless of how much more he knows than me, I simply don't care about SSM or anyone working there to give two cents about their opinion 🤷‍♂️

And then came Cyberpunk. Made by the guys that made Witcher 3, so this shit had to be good. Here's our Cyberpunk universe and - trust us - you can do fucking everything! Here the entire CDPR PR department took all the cues from what worked for Molyneux and Murray and just went completely apeshit with it. Gamers were to believe that this is "Sci-Fi GTA in First Person". What's not to love? Every video released by CDPR was carefully crafted to create a picture in players minds that was just insanely compelling. They stopped just short of outright saying that this thing would cure cancer. This strategy resulted in a sensational 8 million pre-orders. What happened then was this:
. The product was a fraction of what the developer hyped it up to be and on top of that it barely even ran on consoles that it was supposed to 'run surprisingly well on!'.

Now, as a fan of Ori, argue against this 🤣

Is that why PS5 performed better than the Series X version? DF should investigate 🤷‍♂️
I am sure Df would have noticed missing wet roads on the PS5 in their initial PS5/SX comparison coverage.

I think CDPR added wet roads exclusively in the PS5 version now. Assbox might still be missing them.

Let's have a look at the PS5 version's reviews and see if there are any issues that wouldn't apply to the PC version 🤷‍♂️

PLAY - 6 / 10

Despite significant technical and in-play improvements for this PS5 version, much of the game’s core remains unchanged. Quest design and storytelling, though not without their moments on the critical path, too often feel rife with unrealised potential. Cyberpunk 2077’s abrasive personality is still clear as day too, inescapable in its script and blaring out from Night City’s many questionable billboards. If you choose to venture into Night City, we hope you find what you’re looking for. [Issue#12, p.72]
GamingBolt - 6 / 10

Still a deeply flawed game that needs major reworking to come close to making good on its pre-launch promises.
Push Square - 8 / 10

So, Cyberpunk is a much improved experience on PS5, basically across the board — but if you were left feeling short-changed on PS4, beyond the technical issues and cardboard open world, then you should note that this is still the same game. The main story still seems a bit stunted at times, and the role-playing options at your disposal can feel disappointingly limited.
Noisy Pixel - 8 / 10

The truth is that this is the state this game should have initially been released in. Further, it should have only launched on next-generation consoles, to begin with. Instead, Cyberpunk’s developers have spent the last year and a half working on a game that had already been released, rather than one that could still be broken and fixed internally. Much of what the game still is today is indicative of a title that was rushed out long before it was fully formed.
Jeuxvideo.com - 8.5 / 10

But beyond these technical considerations, if patch 1.5 brings some welcome adjustments (more responsive crowd, improved but still perfectible driving and ergonomics...), the title remains globally identical to the PC version despite a less impressive visual rendering. More than a year after its release, Cyberpunk 2077 remains an RPG with a fascinating universe and impeccable writing that remains plagued by immersion-breaking bugs and an artificial intelligence that falls short.
Digital Chumps - 8.6 / 10

Now is the right time to play this game; I’m not saying it’s flawless and perfect, but it’s nearly so, for such an elaborate, massive game. This is the game we were hoping for back in December 2020, but I’m reminded of the adage ‘better late than never.’ And that certainly applies here.
RPG Fan - 8.7 / 10

Inexcusable technical troubles, the game handles its lore and transgender representation poorly, progression systems can be overwhelming and warrant a tutorial.
Don't see any issues mentioned in the reviews that don't apply to the PC version as well, but there are improvements over the PC version at launch, making the Metascore of this updated version the one to take into account 🤜

I mean, some of these reviewers only reviewed the console version, so the game not living upto the PC version exactly highlights why these reviews are specific to consoles :ROFLMAO:

But no one said it didn't live up to the PC version (outside of visuals, but that's never been a reason to drop scores). As a matter of fact, a few mentioned improvements over the launch PC version. How did you even come to that conclusion? 🤣

Lmaooo @ ignoring the text that led to these scores 🤣

The game has aged poorly. That's what those scores and their accompanied text convey (not that it was a success story to begin with) 🤣

The core game, regardless of version and performance issues, has aged poorly according to these reviews. PC version mein wall run aur mantis blades se wall climb kar saktay hain kya? 🤣

PC version didn't need to be reviewed again, as it always the best place to play the game. The score is still valid 🤜 :ROFLMAO:

I mean, you gotta take your issoooooues with Metacritic's methodology to them. Series X pe to 87 hai, 2 critic difference is hardly a decisive one 🤷‍♂️

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
