Even IF Nintendo makes a bad Mario or Zelda game (which hasn't happened in a long time), it'll sell in millions based on fanbase for these franchises. The continued sales of the game, as in case of BOTW, are due to strengths of the game itself.

GTA V early sales were good because it was a GTA game. The number of sales it garnered after that for many many years are purely on its own merit.

Yes, many of Cyberpunk's early sales will be due to Witcher 3. Sales after the initial period will be based on the game itself.

Ah, so all the other examples are, or will be, because of the strengths and merits of those games.

But TLoU 2, for some reason, only broke PlayStation sales records and sold about as much as the entire PS3 versions LTD sales in a single month because .. reasons ?

Have a look at this guy lecturing others about some games winning on merit, but coming up with excuses when game X he doesn't like becomes a commercial and critical success.
