Don't worry man. Your grand kids will most likely be enjoying Star citizen when it's out.
Haha there's no end to that game's development cycle. There current alpha is playable but no in a good state. It looks really good but is incredibly stuttery even on an SSD.

Anyone bought it on the rockstar launcher yet? Is the pre-load available?
Nothing yet. The purchase receipt says : You will be able to install and play Red Dead Redemption 2: Special Edition (PC) as soon as it is released.

Red Dead Redemption 2 looks gorgeous on PC, but mouse controls make it special

Exploring in first-person is much better on PC thanks simply to well implemented mouselook. Pad controls are borderline sluggish, seemingly to give your actions a sense of heft that fits Red Dead Redemption 2's methodical pacing. It's great to be able to quickly look where I want to without dragging my view around with a stick. It also means you can play the game as a legitimate FPS. Naturally, the game switches off the pad's auto aim when you start playing with a mouse, and you can switch freely between mouse and pad if you prefer riding a horse with a controller.

The combination of 60fps performance and mouselook significantly changes the way the game feels to play, which to me matters more than visual improvements to a game that looked great already. As a PC player I'm used to being able to dart around with my view and react to the game world with almost unconscious flicks of the mouse. Pad look creates a small amount of friction between my intention and the way the game responds to that intention. Removing that friction simply makes the game feel better to me.

A game with third person shooting and an FPS mode

"a game like this" :hah:
Call of Duty, this is not.

The deliberate way everything is dragged on, this is a controller game through and through.

The only advantage would be you could possibly bind different actions to different keys instead of the press or hold mechanics the console version used.

I can't ever see myself playing this (or most games) with mouse + keyboard now. Gamepads ftw.

And the game is deliberately being fine tuned for mouse and keyboard which makes it control better than a gamepad ever could.

Hard to take your opinion seriously when you play everything on a controller, including Call of Duty :p

Given the choice myself and most normal people would play modern games with game pads anyway :laugh1:

Keep your keyboad and mice for RTS's.

Most normal people play shooting games with a mouse, given the choice, but hey, most people aren't given that choice on consoles so they're hardwired to be abnormal :laugh1:

Using one readily available example, there are over 30 million controller users on Steam.

You yourself have talked about using game pads on the shout box before. I guess abnormality is hardwired more thoroughly than previously thought :laugh1:

Bhae controller usage data kahan hain? And does that number show which games they are playing with the controller? Which btw, also includes the abnormal ones like yourself :laugh1:

Ofcourse, but never in shooting games on PC. And even then there is a better option than analog stick controllers. So atleast my opinion is more credible than yours after using both controllers and mouse/kb instead of abnormally sticking to one device :p

The latest entry in the most popular FPS i.e. Modern Warfare actually gives the option to use a mouse/keyboard on console, yet most people use a controller. Unless Necrokiller thinks CoD players are abnormal, the above statement isn't true :hah:

This is based on false assumption that I've never used KB+M in gaming before :laugh1:

Also you're not even going to bother playing RDR2. This is a completely moot argument.:laugh1:

Janarioo is an avid COD-Boi .. so that assumption might not be too far off :p
