Probably some stupid managed WiFi thing where they will ask which devices you want to add to the 'restricted' access list.

So people can add their kids devices to that list and block certain sites or have time based internet access.

Most high end routers have this functionality built-in anyway.

Hello. It's been 5 days (including Sunday) and still haven't been upgraded to 6MB from 2MB. I called 1218 and they said that "your request has been stuck" and it would have to be withdrawn first before resending it again and then it will be upgraded. Got the same reply from calling local exchange. What other measures can be taken? Is there a direct person i can talk to like in-charge or department head. it seems just calling 1218 doesn't do anything, they just resend emails or msgs.

3 weeks later. Still no sign of GPON activation. I guess they will turn towards this area by next year. Till then '15-20 days more' is all I am gonna hear from these bloody people.

Salam. I have been facing a weird issue with my PTCL 8Mbps connection. I have good SNR margins but I am getting low line parameters. My line parameters have become stuck on Downstream 6908 and Upstream 822. I have registered a complaint but after 3 days still nobody has visited. The Broadband guy called and tried to make me downgrade my connection but that is not the solution. Can somebody help me what might be the issue? I am attaching a screenshot of my line stats.

anyone who is also facing pkt loss issue in games such as PUBG lite please change your MTU size in modem and router also it will help. Default value in PTCL modem is 1400 but most of the routers and PC using 1500 size please change in modem settings to 1492

in router network>wan


MTU Size (in bytes): (The default is 1500, do not change unless necessary.)
in ptcl modem advanced setup>wan service select the interface you are currently using in my case it is VDSL and click edit you will see MTU size there

@murtaza12 here people have posted PTCL smart tv only works when it is connected with ptcl modem but my smart tv is working without any issue and i have connected my smart tv with router and router is connected with modem and only via etherent wifi is off in my smart tv settings

Speedtst, download speed is better than before (12mbps) but upload speed isnt that much better

from these stats it looks like your house is far away from msag so you will get speeds like adsl2 on your vdsl connection

    Consoles were my main platform ever since Atari 2500. But now I think it's not worth it as PC especially with DLSS deliver far smoother performance. AW2 on console didn't even had ray tracing and ran below 30fps. Similar issues plagues DD2 on consoled.
