Most routers come with multiple hardware revisions. Some with minor changes, and some with major changes.

In the R6700s case, v1 and v3 of the router are powered by Broadcom internals. So you're safe if you get either of these versions.

The R6700v2 however is MediaTek, which is pure garbage.

Can you mention what are charges in details of Installation etc are for Nayatel and also which package you applied for?

11,000 for ONT
3,000 for wiring (fiber drop cable)
9,950 for each HD Box

I didn't apply for their internet. I'm continuing with PTCL for that.

My previous TV arrangements were getting too expensive, so I opted for Nayatel HDBox instead. It'll be something like 1200 per month for 2 HDBoxes.

Go to line stats and check interleaver depth. If it's 1 or 0, you're on FAST, if it's higher than that, you're not on it.

It was on 0, I upgraded my package to 15mbps today. Now it's on 60 so I guess I'm not on fastpath anymore cause the pings are increased by 30 to every region. How can I get it back to fastpath?

how many stations and what about quality? 720p or 1080p or 4k?

Bhai ye Pakistan hai. We're still far from getting 4K content from local providers.

I don't know about the details since I don't watch TV that much. Ghar walay wanted it for VOD and because it has local Pakistani channels as well.

yes almost all TV stations are 480p some are 720p

Hello, long time lurker of PG forums here, first time poster.

I have question regarding an offer made to me by local PTCL lineman however i have some issues so here i am.

I have copper-line and the lineman is offering to upgrade it to fiberoptic from the the DP as shown in the pic, there will be one time conversion charges of 500/ in PTCL monthly bill and my current number will be change to a different one. (plus there will be also some chaipani etc)

Problems in my mind...


  • My house is atleast 7 or 8 KM's away from the main city exchange (i don't know whether it matters or not)
  • My house is 1.5 KM's away from the nearest optical fiber cabinet
  • In the above posted pic the fiber optic DP box you are seeing is atleast 1.5Km's away from the fiber optic cabinet (basically they connected it with a very thick wire you can see in the left side of the pic under DP box which is running all the way from the 1.5KM away cabinet to the DP box in my area, they connected it though the concrete electricity polls like they do with local cable wires so its in the air)
  • My house is 400-500 Feet away from the DP box .


So, my question is will my connection be stable enough to support 8MB line upload and download with good enough ping.
If i haven't been able to convey my question please do tell me i'll try to explain it better.

Yes, 8 Mbps should be achievable on a line with those conditions.

guys i have two servers in europe which have the lowest ping from ptcl around 150-160 ms max 24x7 , i can make you guys VPN or even seedbox on them,if interested PM me.Senior PG members are preferred.
