I love ASUS ROG laptops..I did an unboxing a while ago here ASUS ROG G751 (i7 4710HQ, GTX970M, 17.3, 2tb Hybrid, Bluray Writer, Thunderbolt, ...)

Even though it still does the job but I was looking for something new..and behold!

ASUS ROG G752VS (and some ASUS ROG gear)
Intel Skylake Core i7-6820HQ 3.5GHz

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (Pascal) with 8GB GDDR5

The laptop came with 1TB 7200RPM hard drive and a DVDRW drive. I installed a Samsung 1TB 850 Pro SSD as boot drive and replaced the DVDRW with the 1TB 7200rpm hard drive in a caddy.

thanks..controller is ASUS Wireless Gaming Controller which is also sold as Nexus Player Gamepad.

thank you. I dont play game on laptop so cant really notice the performance difference..lol..but I do use it occasionally for editing videos for my youtube channel (http://www.youtube.com/qadhi79). Have very high expectations with thunderbolt 3..waiting for some items to arrive so I can truly test the t3 speeds.

now this is a great laptop, a bit bulky but still awesome purchase ...
especially 1070 n that upgrade-ability options for ram n hard drives is lovely design

yes after Final Cut Pro X 10.3 update even a 2015 12inch macbook is a formidable machine to handle 4k editing, but again its a personal choice ...

true. good part is that I dont have to fight with my kids to have the xbox or the other laptop and I can freely advance my Forza Horizon 3 profile :)

I live in Qatar and paid around PKR.275k for the whole package. Not sure if the controller is available in Pakistan but its called ASUS Bluetooth Gamepad/Nexus Gamepad/ASUS Wireless Controller/etc

thanks! I thought of upgrading the RAM but cant think of anything that I use which would require more RAM..my other G751 is also 16GB and never had any memory issues with it.

Yes its bulky and frankly I wanted a 15" but there was no option to add a second hard drive in 15" and most of the new models dont come with optical drives which I always replace with hard drive caddys.

I have to open several windows on screen and 17" gives enough viewing area to use without adding an additional monitor while still being somewhat portable.

It is good machine, especially 1070 in laptop has almost 200 or more extra cuda cores than desktop 1070 version.
About hard disks well almost all 15inch come with m.2 SSD for OS n a mechanical 2.5 inch for storage which one can always swap with an SSD but very few offer ram upgrade ...
If I ever replaced my macbook pro 2015 15inch it will be a Razer Blade ... If only windows laptops have force touch kind of track pads :)

MacBook is undisputed when it comes to trackpad and everything razer blade is cool but pricing on that thing is also crazy(razer blade pro 2016 w/GTX 1080) and display quality wise they are alright however their keyboard with rgb is friggin amazing.

If I were to pick a gaming laptop with tight budget I would pick the same asus g752vs with 1070 and MSI gt73vr with 1080 for an all out laptop.

Masha'Allah, excellent purchase man. Now this is something to be proud of.
Make sure to get a bigger G-Sync monitor to really take advantage of this savage laptop.

I have not used it yet so cannot say about the temperate or the performance with VR.

Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
