Due to recent decrease in SSD prices I was thinking about getting a 120GB SSD (Corsair GT). But then I read comments from users that SSDs have a high failure rate and are not very reliable. They seem particularly prone to power failures (which we get every hour) and a UPS seems like a pre-requisite of getting an SSD.
And as I don't have a UPS for my PC, is it wise to get an SSD and use it as system drive?
I would greatly appreciate any help (particularly from people with first hand knowledge) in this regard.
