If you are after the windows login password than use "Windows Key enterprise" to gain access to your computer. I can upload it if you want & can't find it.

But if its the password in bios than like in desktops you will have to remove the bios cell (I don't think there is any other way around)

Login from Safe Mode and see if you can get into windows from over there. If not, then you'd really be having no choice rather than to re-install windows. And if your data is located only in one partition, then it would be safe to re-install windows on the other partition without your data getting deleted, however the pre-installed may not work the same way.

If this is windows account based password; then simply go to 'safe mode' and make backup of your data. Then modify your account settings. Or create a new account and delete the old one.

Alternatively you can try some password breaking tools.

Well here's the safe and most effective way to do it, though it's bit long but who cares?
Download Ubuntu desktop edition from here, or any other flavor of your liking (should be live CD), burn onto a USB stick you can also find "how to" on it's official website and boot from your flash drive, you'll be able to recover whatever you want without even reinstalling your OS. :)

Safe mode also ask for admin password, no? Creating a new account and deleting the old one will remove the data on desktop as well.

You won't have to format anything just to gain access, don't worry.

I too faced a similar problem a year or two ago, when my uncle's laptop was in the same state as yours...

I followed the steps mentioned here:
How to reset Windows 7 password with USB | Windows 7 password reset USB

Worked like a charm for me...

It is always better to make a password reset disk/USB and keep it safe somewhere...
i did not make a pasword reset disc and i do not want to buy the Windows password key Professional can some one pm me a craked link of the software

Kind sir,

Did you even read what I posted?

The method is free of cost, you do not have to buy anything and it is for those (like us) who have not made a password reset disc...

I was just mentioning the password reset disc for future reference.

bravo122 kindly uper walay ki baat sun loo. Download ubunto, boot via usb, and then copy the stuff from windows. It is as simple as it gets. This is the only way that works for sure. Ubunto will be approximately 700mb, and will be very useful in future too.

you could also ask one of your friends to make you ubuntu usb. The rest is piece of cake.

Unless you give password during installation process, Safe Mode will not be password protected.
So it means there are 50-50 chances, right? And as far as I remember in Windows 7 admin password during installation is must, no?

And yeah, LiveCD method is a very useful, one can also use it for troubleshooting purpose as well, doesn't matter if your Windows is corrupt or what. :)

Brother, giving password is not mandatory during installation process. This password will be applied to the true Administrator account, which works by default during the Safe Mode. If you have not given password during installation process, then Safe Mode will not demand password. The account which you created after installation process, will demand password only - if you gave it a password. :)

Why not request the company to send you your key again?
If it's legit then your brother's associated email or what not would be the verification needed.

Or why not get the key from the software itself, it might be showing somewhere in the about/help section of the software.
