[SOLVED] Zong 4G LTE For Downloading from Steam & Origin

I have a good internet connection with 1.2-1.5Mbps speed but its still not able to download games from Steam and Origin, so I was thinking to upgrade to Zong 4G LTE as I have heard that they have very good download speeds but the thing that I am concerned is that how much download speed I would gonna get on Steam and Origin while downloading? Like I said my current internet is good but max download speeds that I get on Steam are 150Kbps, so I just wanted how much download speeds the Zong 4G LTE users get while downloading from Steam and Origin?

Now a days game sizes are huge, you will get good speed on Zong but will run out of your monthly data limit soon. They are offering 50 GB PM in 2000 Rs. and 24 GB in 1500 Rs. I do not know how much you are paying for your internet now but it will be costly for you if you switch to Zong.

Price doesn't matter if the download speeds for steam and Origin are good.However, if you are a Zong 4G user can you tell me the average download speed that you get on Steam or Origin??

yar i am using ZONG 4G MBB device
steam pe its not a constant speed
mood pe depend kerta hai nawab sb ka

at times i get 1.5MBps on steam at times 400KBps on steam
average speed is usually 700-800kbps

i dont use origin so us ka pata nahi

Thanks, considering my current speed which is 150Kbps, I think getting 800Kbps or above 1Mbps would be a great achievement for me. But still Iwould like to know the steam download speeds from some more users as I want to make sure that I am investing my money at the right place

You aren't. Zong sucks. Speed will never be constant.

My recommendation, since you're in Karachi, get a Wired ISP (preferably Fiber if you can) and get a high speed (at least 10 Mbps) connection and use that.

If you really want to use an MBB for downloading from Steam/Origin, wait for the Mobilink/Warid merger to be complete. The combined spectrum in the 1800 band will give Zong a swift kick in the ass.

Firstly, fiber connections are quite expensive and I can't afford any connection above the price tag of 8000 because I am just 16 and as we all know that fiber connections cost above 20,000Rs.Secondly, I don't think that Warid/Mobilink merger would be happening any time soon.Lastly, you are the first one to tell me that Zong has some problems, however if there are really some problems with it I would like to know about it from some more people on this thread.

Fiber connections are fairly cheap for monthly packages. It's only the one time installation fee that is expensive.

make up your mind bro. you say money doesn't matter then you say you can't afford fiber.

games are huge sizes these days. 2000rs gets you 50gb. meaning if you want to download a game about 25gb that is going to cost you 1000rs.

also i have personally seen zong overcount the data consumed.

about the speeds on steam they are fine but it all depends on your area and signal strength. don't know about origin cause who uses origin anyway

p.s. i have a better option i will download 25gb games for you for 1000rs

Zong is a complete unreliable service especially when it comes to browsing
