I have used both Zong 4G dongle and 4G by creating tethering spot from the phone and there's a big difference. The dongle is worse than a PTCL router connected via LAN in the same area. Even if it gives you a good ping there are lag spikes and performance issues, I think its just obsolete hardware wise.

If you create an LTE hotspot with a zong sim though then its the best bing I've seen in Pakistan however it is very expensive. I use the 1 week 700mb package which you can activate with a 100rs card.

Yet to try Telenor 4G, their rates/data/speed ratio is the best out of any providers. Even on Telenor 3G I used to play okay.

There's no problem with my PTCL ping. I get 120 to CSGO servers in Singapore and Hong Kong. Zong though is better if you're connecting to European servers.

Hey man i have been using zong 4g for about 4 months in lahore i get 3 signals on 4G and i have 80 ping in dubai awesome for cs go and in asia sometimes 150 but mostly 300 and 180 in eu west and east and 180 in india

You can't get 80 ping on Dubai official valve servers. I've been using Zong LTE in Islamabad with full signals and my zong shows more speed than most people here post and even at 4 am you can't get a double digit ping to any servers. My rank is LEM right now so I've tested everything and I know what ping I can get. I even firewall servers to get the best ping.

If you don't believe me then use this software and post a screenshot. It will check your ping to every Valve server cluster:

Even if you connect to Pakistani servers you will sometimes get 40-80 ping.

Even Zong 4G is connected to more or less the same cables that exit Pakistan that PTCL uses, it just provides a superior connection while you are inside Pakistan which improves ping a little bit. I play many games and Zong ping is better but its never double digit. This is why its impossible to get double digit ping after jumping a couple of countries from Pakistan.


Post a screenshot with this software then I'll believe you otherwise don't misguide users. People on this website would die for a double digit ping.

if you are getting 150 ping on 4g than 4g sux .. on ptcl iam getting 155-165 ping on EU servers and on Singapore servers 110-120 ... for me 4g is all drama if they cant fix the ping than thats all drama than why buying expensive limited resource while ptcl is giving u better quality in online games ... 4G is garbage in pak waste of money

For Dota 2 i find Zong 4g better than Ptcl. Zong gives lower than 90 ping on India and Dubai server. Also even in Se Asia its under 120 and 0% packet loss unlike Ptcl.

Yaar tum logo ke paas buhat pesa hai... U are buying expensive 3g/4g and wimax while Fibre Optics is cheaper, stable and better than any other internet in Pakistan.. Get FTTH connection... 4mb is only 1499rs/month excluding tax... Itna pesa urate ho Zaror Clifton ya defence me rehte hoge... Try to get storm fibre or optix if you live in Karachi.. Line internet is more stable than wireless.

Fibre Internet's ping is only 1ms and you will get -10 or 20ms difference ... So in Singapore u'll get stable less than 110ms and europe ping will br 130-150ms... Everyone one who used Fibre optics said that they feel like they have entered in Heaven

Hitman your ping cannot decrease by higher download speed.. If you have 20 mbps internet u'll still get 150ms from europe no matter what.. However if Game requirement for down and up speed is 10 mbps than your ping might be disturbed using 4mbps... But many game runs on stable 4mpbs just fine with nice ping

Although ptcl gives fibre quality connection in DHA, Clifton, Pechs... It is not stable!!! Because in the end you get copper wire connection to your home its not FTTH.. But you can say fibre to router then to your home through copper wire. Its so unstable that i get lag spikes after every 5 or 10 mins reaching 400ms and 2000ms. I am planning to get storm fibre next month it's also available in my area... What's worse is that PTCL is also charging me 1750rs for 4mb excluding tax.

Don't have any other connection available in my area except Ptcl. So am bound to use Zong 4g.
Stormfiber etc just give services in big areas like Defence for now.

Exactly.. It depends on game, if games want more than 4mb only then u will face latency issues... i think anything more than 8 mbps is more than enough for Online gaming..

Dude i am thinking of buying zong 4g for dota 2. Are these the pings that you get throughout the day cuz tbh theyre pretty awesome and where exactly do you live. like EXACTLY
