Yearbook cover, need halpz!

I've gotten this far by shamlelessly copying James White's work (no tut BTW XD) but i need ideas for the Background.
Any suggestions?

Even though i think your image looks awesome as it is....

you can remove the glaring if it doesn't look good in black and white but i think as it's a year book i.e its of past memories or moments spent with the theme skidmarks it'd be justice to make it classic...black and white.

B/W doesn't actually look bad. But i takes away what i like most about it, the colours.
I'll keep it in mind though.

try mono-tone-ing it ...

meaning , go with black and a single color , for example blac with blue ... or purple etc, depends what your School Colors are. Yearbooks should usually include the school colors.

its simply your choice, this looks fine too if you just lower the brightness a lil
i would have designed one with a classy look black with blue is super class!
