Number of Korean Xbox 360 enthusiasts bought "smuggled" version of Xbox 360 from the US or Japan before the official release in Korea, since these games were rumored to fully support Korean.

Xbox 360 Consoles Versions Differences
I have seen a lot of members asking about the differences between the asian and japanese units. To keep it short and simple, Japanese unit need a stepdown transformer to be used while the asian sets doesnt have to. Japanese units ship with the media remote while the asian, doesnt.
Some US games which are region free on the Jap unit aren't on the asian ones like Call of Duty 2 (NTSC/U) works on PAL & NTSC/J (Japan only) systems , NOT on NTSC/J (HK/TW/SP) systems. Well thats about it.If u have any questions do not hesitate to ask here on Pakgamers!
