Xbox 360 new disc format..plzzz read!!!

Salam every1. Some of u know or some of u not know that microsoft is releasing xbox 360 new disc format of 9.5gb instead of 8.5gb.....means that new upcoming games like modern wafare 3 and battlefield 3 will not be able to burn on 8.5gb disc format because microsoft is adding 1gb extra to disc format...and 9.5gb disc is not still developed....

Means we should not be able to play new upcoming games on modified xbox 360?????

This i big blow to piracyy???????????

Microsoft wants 2 stop piracy and want us 2 buy the original ones??????

Is this a end for all modified userss??????????

Plzz help modders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dude it is already a known fact that the new XDG3 disc data is burnable on a standard DVD DL disc ... and please .. ask such questions in the main thread... no need to create a separate thread !

what about the ap.2.5 checks etc .

some minor removal of data will be in order .. because the new disc is exceeding the capacity of a normal DL disc by a couple of MBs .... and if your talking about the discs being live safe .. then my friend ... we already know that even the current discs aren't live safe .. nothing is live safe ... the games will boot ... all consoles will require a firmware update to support XDG3 ... and ap2.5 checks will be taken care of as the firmware releases :)... as always it will be widespread that the fw is live safe but as history tells us ... nothing is live safe

the new format wont have 9.5 gb disk space. It will still be a Dual Layer DVD which have 8.5 gb disk space. Currently MS reserve about 1 gb of space for piracy checks etc, which will be removed in the new XGD3 format. So i dont think that will be a problem for the hackers out there.. :)

Guys the new format is here. Driver SanFransisco, Warhammer Space Marines are XDG3 format. So will be GOW3. The LT+ Firmware releaser (C4Eva) is working on the new firmware for the format. At the moment the last he updated was that reading the new XDG3 format is not much of a problem but burning the new format on a dual layer disc is. He is working on LT+2.0 which he'll probably release when GOW3 is released. Hopefully soon.

well gears3 complete is released for jtag owners ..as for legit copyies 5 - 6 copyies coming in to khi tommorow and islamabad ...1 guess if u wana play it ..flash the console back to stock ..play it ...

.......i started loving my j-tag once again ..............

    So i just found out that f***ing s***bag Microsoft shut down Arkane Studio (makers of the brilliant Dishonored series) and Tango Gameworks (makers of the iconic The Evil Within series), among some other studios.     Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
