Sales of the new system have not been included in projections for fiscal year ending in March 2012 could mean it will be released in or after March 2012, while holiday season 2012 would be too far ahead as they would not hope to sale a lot of Wii systems after E3. Few units would be sold once the new system is revealed. If the sales figures are correct then sales since December are very low anyway and holiday season 2011 should be considered as a launch possibility.

SO the New gen begins with Nintendo's Console in 2012, but I doubt there's going to be a new Xbox till 2013 at the earliest.

Nintendo Japan tonight confirmed it will release a new game console in calendar year 2012. It will be announced and playable at E3 this coming June.

"We will show a playable model of the new system and announce more specifications at the E3 Expo, which will be held June 7-9, 2011, in Los Angeles," the company said in a brief statement. Nintendo did not reveal any additional details.

Multiple sources tell IGN the console - dubbed Project Cafe - will be "significantly more powerful" than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and be backwards compatible with current Wii software. The console will also utilize a new, tablet-shaped controller. Sources say it will have a 6-inch touch screen display, dual analog sticks, and has the ability to stream content directly from the console.

So fake huh? But its nintendo man.....they pwned ps3 and xbox360 real bad even with sub-par graphics. The ds pwns the psp in sales real bad.
This time it looks like they have taken it up a notch.

Well, it's not surprising. Being a next-gen 2012 console, if they still can't surpass the 2006 Nvidia 7800GTX based PS3 RSX GPU by now; Nintendo should probably eat shit.

I just hope they amp up the gaming experience and bring it to another level or something because right now, they don't have anything special in their console, just insane sales numbers because it was dubbed as a family entertainment package and was cheap. Plus, due to the lack of processing muscle they lacked those AAA titles that we all love.
Let's hope they change that, because Sony & MS are really going to tear shit up with their next-gen console. Hope for the best
