Hi all,

I live in Pakistan and i want to buy an LED tv. I googled and searched whole internet regarding which LED to buy (whichever of popular brands...LG,samsung). But i am now confused between china made LEDs and original LEDs. For example there is a person on youtube who made unboxing video of his new LED which he bought at a price of only pakistani rupees. 41,000 . And approximately same LED was priced more than 1 lac pakistani rupees at some online websites like daraz.etc.. While searching i also came across some people suggesting that buy an original LED instead of china made LED. Budget is not an issue and i am perplexed as to which LED should i buy. The cheap one which some people say is china made led and another which people say is original one. People who say buy an original LED say that it will produce eye-watering result and another people say buy cheaper one and don't waste money. Also i m talking in terms of quality plz tell which i should buy. Plz your suggestions are welcome .Thanks.

Samsung 55NU8000 if the budget allows, or any one of the sizes available in the NU8000 series. Very good panel, great features. Have been using it for many months, no complaints.

TCL also makes some good ones, but I'm not sure of which models specifically.

You can ask for recommendations here:

I'm also looking into buying the same model. How's the HDR performance on this one? Also what's your opinion/experience about buying it without the warranty one (grey market/ baggage, made in Egypt).

HDR is pretty good. They f*cked it up at one point with a software update that completely ruined brightness and local dimming.

But 2 more software updates after that fixed it and improved the performance of the UI as well.

Mine is without official warranty, but not sure of the manufacturing country.

Good to hear that the problem has been resolved. I'll try to look for the one with the warranty- though its difficult finding one. Thanks for your input.

I think it is 20% or 25% of the value of the TV.

Not entirely sure if it is still that much or if it has been changed.
