Which ISP comes second after PTCL in Karachi?

Assalamolalikum,



I was just reading the Spider magazine and saw the list of ISP providers. And I just thought there must be some ISP from the list which comes second after PTCL in Karachi in terms of the number of users, package prices, good bandwidth, unlimited packages, reliability, ease of availability in most areas of the city and customer service etc etc. In short the biggest competitor to PTCL in Karachi since there should always be competition in every field rather than monopoly because when there is competition the end user benefits as well as companies. So kindly inform your opinion about this. Which ISP do you think comes next after PTCL in Karachi?(PGR)

well bro yahan sab ISP k halat ek jesay hi hien shitty support and bad service thats y compare ISP(s) by prices/packages bcz sab kbbi na kbi panga krti hi hein

Its Wateen. If anyone says Worldcall its incorrect as their cable network covers a little area of Karachi and their wireless network sucks. At present Wateen offers 2 mb unlimited package for Rs 3000 but they say they would soon offer higher bandwidths. They cover the whole of Karachi and their customer service and internet quality is superb. Soon they would be a worthwhile alternative to PTCL. (bm)

I have been using PTCL for ages, and have always had a soft spot for it because the of the unlimited downloads and prices, at the cost of unreliability.

Needed a very reliable stable connection, got Wateen installed 2 days back, Not a single disconnect since installation, I am a very satisfied customer!. Additional bonus, you get a static IP! Be sure to get the Bolt 2 Device.

Still using PTCL though for the unlimited downloads.

Btw area is near bahadurabad

I have been using QUBEE at my Bahadurabad Place and never had a single disconnect though its 1MB with limited 8GB of DL. Quite good for me as i utilize 2GB max p.m

Same. The only complaint with Wateen is pages timeout if you try to open too many at once. I also cant open some sites like play-asia.com Dont know why.

Worldcall doesn't sell DSL services. DSL is over the phone line. Worldcall has its own cable infrastructure that is uses to provide internet access.

ptcl has a 300gb download limit now so its not exactly unlimited.

^Compared to the other ISP's it still very much is, specially for users of 1mb and 2mb.

Haven't experienced any timeouts as such. Btw I have the latest Bolt2 device.
