What's "Touhou"??

hey sup Otaku's................last night I was reading an article about the largest torrent files and I stumbled upon this 870 GB torrent of lossless music collection of Touhou!!! Even the torrent of its "album image" is 22.5 GB big.....!!!! (o_0)

so my question is what the heck is this "Touhou" and what kind of music it has that takes upto 870 GB!!!!!!!!!!!!
i searched on Wikipedia and all i understood was that its a game, but there was no information about its music, also as I said earlier that it has an album image torrent as well which means that all this music is released commercially but I couldnt find it. Please share your knowledge and end my confusion!

Its possibily FLAC format and may contain all releases over the years specially from Comiket (anime etc. festival u may cal it)..
Touhou started as one man projetc actually, that person did all the work...which has now spread....also IOSYS remixes the music from Touhou and its excellent as well
u should listen to "U.N. Owen was her"...in short its all fan made....
the shooter game can be very challenging ....if u haven't seen YT vids, they you'll be amazed

i still didn't get it, whats a Touhou ...

The type of music, gameplay or that animation of shooting inthe above mentioned video...

Touhou are Japanese dōjin game series focused on scroll-bullet hell shooters made by the one-man developer known as the Team Shanghai Alice, whose sole member, known as ZUN, is responsible for all the graphics, music, and programming for the most part. He's one amazing guy. ZUN made a industry out of Touhou. He's considered one of the best devs in Japan.

Now let me clear you up. That torrent you saw was Touhou Music in FLAC format. Touhou music genreally compromises of Touhou character THEMES. Like the theme of Utsuho is called Nuclear Fusion. And that size of collection is not surprising for a Touhou fanatic. Afterall, they have a HUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGE fanbase. Tons of sites are dedicated to Touhou. And there's this site which puts up Images of Touhou characters in mega-pretty formats. How cool is that?

I'm not a big Touhou player. I have played only Imperishable Night, AND it was really fun! Loved it. But what brought me to Touhou was it's fanmade-remixed-music.

There are many many Dojin Circles/Artists who sell the touhou music commercially. But all that music is remixed/recomposed! The original composition stays there, but the way they play/remix it is their own. And so far, there have been three large sections of Touhou music.

1. Touhou Metal
2. Touhou Neo-Classic
3. Touhou Electronica/Trance

I'm a big fan of Touhou Metal specifically. I adore all of ZUN's works, but these dojin circles bring out the best of Touhou Music!
