vista is nowallowing more than 4 paritions ?

when installing vista on my pc , vista is not allowing more than 4 paritions
can we make more than 4 partitions in windows vista

Well it's a limitation. You cannot make more than 4 primary partitions on a single disk. You should make an extended partition. Within that extended partition you can make a lot of logical partitions.

all your 4 partitions are primary.....rite....

do this tech....make 3 more small partition...after that you can make extended partition(cuz you are not allowed to make more than 4 primary partition)...than after making your extended partition delete previous 3 samll partition and merge it with other ....simple(if you understand)..

When installing vista only make one primary partition, then after the installation use the seagate disk manager or any better software to create partitions. And never make more then one primary partition if you don't want to run dual OS, make all the other as extended/logical.

Vista have limitation of making only 4 PRIMARY partition......i think every window has that limitation....

Use Acronis Disk Director Suite 10.0.2160 for making partitions it has much more options than the Vista one... and also Vista has limit of 4 primary partitons
