Disclaimer: Admins and Moderators although this kinda violates this subtopic, do not delete this thread, this thread was requested by Glorious Chicken on PG-Gamers discord, do not move this either.
I will keep this thread brief, as there isn't much to cover, i wont say much, but recently FBR or PTA tax laws have updated, i know i know, you are most probably tired again, angry from the government with all these taxes but guess what?
In the first time in so long, phone laws have been updated to make our lives easier, now the activation taxes of phones have dropped heavily, the activation or PTA approval is required if you want to use a phone properly, this is most likely done due to huge illegal imports of phones

Now you may be asking, why make this thread? just leave it as it is, but the thing is, not everyone is an expert or has the time to look up to this stuff, mostly buyers, who are looking for a phone in this website may be purchasing a used phone from someone, not knowing, because of the tax fall, they may of have paid more money then the phone's actual phone seller price.
As my promise to keep this thread small, i will just send an image containing the basic activation costs
the first box refers to the phone's basic MSRP, and the second is the price added on to it

( First line shows basic phone MSRP )
( Second line shows approval tax )
Right now, the most popular phones with the new modern tax laws are
Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Xiaomi Mi A3, Xiaomi Redmi 8A, Realme XT, and more. . . .
Dont believe me that the taxes have fallen?
Redmi Note 6 + 7 had starting costs of around 35k, not to mention ruppee was much much stronger, while the Redmi Note 8, which not only has a higher MSRP, starts with 30k for the full non base version, with a 10w charger ( upgraded edition ) this is not some "one time offer" either, Xiaomi knew this and planned its phones accordingly, still dont believe me?, the first two phones mentioned came 3 days earlier in Pakistan, then India, the place with the largest Redmi production plants.
Still think this is a bunch of bullcrap? lets calculate it:

Redmi Note 8 Pro goes for 40,000 lets calculate everything into dollars to make this simple. 40,000 rupees = 260 USD at the moment, now lets look at our tax rate, it specifies for phones that cost 200-300 there is a 40$ tax.
260 - 40 = 220$
Redmi Note 8 Pro base MSRP is 205-215USD / 1400 YUAN
EDIT:
As seen, the taxes have hugely fell, by around 50% on the middle end, take this thread as you wish, rather thank me for bringing this into attention, or be a idiot and say :useless political gimmick article" and rant about the government, because i frankly do not care about your views, i am just bringing the tax information, i do not give a crap about the dollar rate i am just here to spread information.
