Unboxing of OCZ VERTEX SSD DRIVE

well finally after waiting for a really long time my ssd drive came in today.....here are a few pics...i havent installed it in the system as yet as i need to remove one o my HDD's first and then install this baby. but seriously when i saw it in person for a second i went into shock just because of the size of the box. first thoughts were....thats it??..this small??...is it empty??...have i been ripped off???.....even after seeing the drive i was a bit confused for a second as to how small can it be....i mean how is it possible, but still quite a small piece of an equipment which outperforms even the veloci raptor drives. here are the pics














OCZ claims on the box that it can READ UPTO 250MB/SEC and WRITE UPTO 180MB/SEC.

OK JUST RAN THE HDTUNE READ AND WRITE BENCHMARK. here are the results

i think the speeds are upto the mark....if there are any other benchies you guys know for HDD'S do let me know. im gonna be installing my o.s and games on this little monster so will let you know the load times that i get.

edit: Also perform some gaming LOADING time benchmarks too.. i have heard this SSD can load COD4 with 5-6 seconds :|..and yes its true..

well as far as gpu's are concerned im not looking to buy anything until i know that cards are fully optimised for dx11. but im damn sure that im gonna switch back to nvidia...ATI is excellent no doubt...this card is doing wonders for me....but the added on support that nvidia gets is also a thing to be considered.

@devil...bro its not just a normal HDD...its an SSD....look at the transfer rates and everything....you'll get my point.
