for a high end new card the scores for 3d mark 06 look quite low , i guess this card is not the core 216 version hence the low price .
but still atleast it runs the games smoothly , as for the 4870 1gb model bros MEDIA inc now has the latest 1gb turbo edition 4870 cards with iceq4+ models .
INSHALLAH will bet geting 2 of these for my i7 rig , fajoo though u have now used the card it would have been better to do some home work before jumping in and geting the card.
but still it looks damn sexy n menacing .

Check for PhysX.
Maybe its turned off, that might be the reason, u r getting such low score.
well i didn't actually buy from galaxy, i bought it from czone and they brought it for me from inno3d distributor here not galaxy......but the excuse that distributor guy gave was lame as hell that:
"We couldn't find the link to 192 sp version on the net so we gave the link to 216 sp version", abay bhai link nhi milraha to khud mention kardo wahan par jaisay czone ne kiya hai......
bro u should be getting a higher score then me as u have q6600, even at stock speeds coz of 2 extra cores which 3dmark takes advantage from....
yep atleast these czone guys are courteous enough to mention, those bloody galaxy people still have not corrected the error on the website....@fajoo

nopes and i don't intend to coz i know i will get low scores coz of processor...besides i don't reallly care about synthetic benchies.......load temps, already mentioned before, in 3dmark 2k6, i got max 54 degrees while in crysis warhead bench, i got max 56 degrees...
well bro i was also first angry to find out that it is not 216 sp version but there is hardly 5-6% performance difference between the two and i think 2.5k less price with such excellent cooler and bundle is a much better deal.......the gpu cooler on this gpu if sold alone would cost around 5k......
secondly, i read around 5-6 reviews about 4870 vs gtx260 and about 70% reviews showed supremacy of gtx260, so 4870 is not actually faster then this gpu......about homework, bro they mentioned the link to 216 sp version, so i was sure that it will be the same version that they have mentioned on the site but now it doesn't really matter to me coz of awesome performance of this gpu......
I actually asked them if i can get 4870 instead but after confirming with galaxy that it is not the iceq version of 4870, i decided not to get it, now u are saying that they have iceq4 version (what the hell is wrong with these galaxy people, they don't even know what they are selling)...i will get a better processor in sometime to utilize the full potential of the gpu....

yep have added in idm yesterday size is big 7.8 gb :S, will take around 3-4 days as i don't download 24 hours....
that is not my score (if you are referring to the score on 2 pages before) and yeah that is a low score with q6600....as far as my score is concerned, it's fine bro E2180@3 ghz, jan logay kiya
Yes, I do believe Fajoo is getting an excellent score according to his processor. I ran Far Cry 2 benchmark and I got 41 average which is only 5 fps higher than what fajoo got. I am certain now that my CPU is bottlenecking my GPU big time. I need to change my motherboard not to mention get a new CPU cooler so that I can overclock the hell out of my CPU in order to get full performance out of my 260 GTX. I may need to change my RAM too.
@Ninja: bhai don't upgrade i think your current setup is fine, just play games and enjoy and if later u feel lagging games then upgrade. Don't fix it until it's not broken
You might be right Baber. Almost all the games I like run well on all settings maxed out. Still its definitely something I will consider in the future. One thing is certain, I won't be buying intel boards ever again.
well yes you will certainly get better performance out of higher clock....however, if you are still getting good performance, you don't need to overclock either.....if you are a benchmark freak then you can upgrade mobo right away, otherwise, no need....
I think farcry is multicore optimized and it can utilize all 4 cores of quad.....btw did u run farcry 2 bench in dx9 or dx10 and were the setting ultra high??? i ran it in dx9 with ultra high details....
Yes I ran it on DX9. For some reason I couldn't run it on DX10 at Full Screen. The game just wouldn't load on DX10. And yes overall quality was on Ultra high and resolution was 1400 x 1050.
Ninjawithin you would certainly benifit from overclocking your processor.
3.0+ should not be a problem. Though you will need to change your motherboard to do so! Wont cost you much and give you great gains.

Anyways ... yahan saab baray baray gpus dhek kar my lil 4670 jus cried, ran away and hid in a corner

Hey LeGenD123 I see you are running Q6600 at stock speed as well. What are your 3D mark 06 scores? Or do you use Vantage now?I think I am going to download vantage too. See how my scores turn out then.
I know this question was not pointed at me but I would like to say that you are mistaken. There is no such sticker on the box that says either 192sp or 216sp, in fact there is hardly anything mentioned on the box at all. There is just one random number written on the sticker which I am guessing is serial no.
