Hey guys,

So this is the main reason I really upgraded to Skylake early, the beauty of these RAMs just couldn't keep me at bay and I had to pull the plug on this but the main reason was for 64GB Support on Z170 chipset with Skylake that helped my decision to upgrade fairly quickly. Again, just like my Core i5-6600K temporary purchase, more on that here: http://www.pakgamers.com/forums/f139/[unboxing]-intel-skylake-core-i5-241249/ I bought this as a temporary purchase from DSM1 while also placed the order for 64GB RAM which wasn't available in-stock then and took time to arrive. I never did any benchmarks or overclocking on this RAM but kept running this ram at the advertised speed of 3200MHz stable with ASUS Z170 Deluxe. So without any further ado, here we go with the pictures.

Sooo .. there you have it guys, I also bought 2x 32GB (2x16GB) Kits which consist of each module being 16GB so I can run 64GB in my system but more on that later .. perhaps few pictures of that with Z170 Unboxing or so as they're identically the same with just coming in two different boxes so I don't think it's worth creating another thread just for that.

Once again, I apologize for no pictures with CPU-Z or benchmarks done it as I never got around to it just like my previous processor, Core i5-6600K.

Holy....this looks soo sick........That brushed metal +1
Exactly!!! Mainy acha khasa betha enjoy kar raha tha Devil's Canyon without any need to upgrade that time until @DSM1 shared a picture of that in his thread when he was importing memory sticks and I was like: :-/ and that's when I knew I had to upgrade it, the fact that Skylake supports 64GB wasn't known to me then and first urge to upgrade was purely based on it's aesthetics because that elegant look is just so. damn. beautiful. but however looks are subjective but glad you feel the same way :D

Oh and not to mention .. they do perform like beast ;) Gotta love G.Skill being available to us locally in Pakistan without any fuss and official warranty.

holy kamakazee mushrooms ..epic man ---epic on a large scale ..
and that 64 gb costed an arm and a leg i am sure
Yes, indeed lol but ... totally worth the cost to me. Great speeds, amazing looking. Simply the best RAMs out there for me. Period.

Costly, that they are but then again they are Trident Z. Top of the line from G.Skill so it's like comparing these with Dominator Platinums, they both are costly but totally worth it!

Thanks, it'll get better in future unboxings as well InshaAllah :)

Ferrari of Rams , Congrats great choice Umer .
Besides from its aesthetics , IT is XMP 2.0 and can be boost upto 4200Mhz buss speed.

I just wish they release these in more colors to match some black white or blue/green setups as well.

What kind of Custom water cooling are you setting up , Have you already shopped for all the required things ?
If yes what brands you are getting.
Will you go for a 980 Ti water cooling as well or just the processor .

They sure are, you can go even beyond their advertised speeds easily if you really want to push it that hard but it's fine for me right now at 3000MHz for my 64GB Kit.

Funny enough, I haven't even touched XMP yet. Been using preset values from the UEFI to run it at 3200MHz with that 32GB kit and 3000MHz with my 64GB kit.
I have 2x 32GB (2x16GB) kits for 64GB so XMP probably won't work as great but since they're identical kits it shouldn't have too much of an issue although with XMP your timings of the memory significantly increases so I usually don't bother with it.

I actually like the colors as they are, they kinda go with everything. I believe changing from Red top to Black or White would have been better to go with all kinds of accents but to me it's fine. I love the way they look and perform, but then again .. the more options the merrier.

I've had the parts for about a month now, have tested the loop thoroughly for leaks and what not just waiting for some of the stuff to arrive from Amazon which should be any day now. I got some of the Amazon stuff already and rest is remaining.

I'm using Koolance 360 Rad with Noctua Industrial Fans along with Thermaltake Ring LED fans for Push and Pull config for better aesthetics. Koolance soft tubing and EK blocks, pump and compression fittings and a long ass tube reservoir. Everything is EK and some is Koolance, right now going with soft tubing and will probably turn to arcylic tubing in few months time when I finally decide which color dye I want and when all the parts are in there such as Maximus VIII Formula or something for watercooling the mobo as well. As for now, I'm only going with processor and not touching GTX 980 Ti as I'll be buying Pascal when it's out so there's no point in it.

With Pascal, depending on how it performs on 4K I'll either opt for Gigabyte, ASUS, Zotac or something else with their air coolers or I'll probably import EVGA references design one since they don't void the warranty if you take apart their cooler for water cooling but before doing that I'll inquire with local brands as well to see if I can do the same with them so I'll probably go that way for water cooling but all that depends on how good Pascal performs for 4K gaming so we'll see how that goes but eventually adding GPU in the loop is in the plans. Problem is .. I am always updating GPU first hand when it comes out #ThanksTo4KGaming so it kinda limits my options for putting water blocks on it for resale value purposes and for wasting money on water block but we'll see how that goes.

Not entirely true, the higher the speed of the memory the lower the CAS latency gets which in turn looks good on paper in terms of memory speeds but performs slower than lower CL.
For example, 1866MHz with CL9 will outperform 2400MHz with CL11 because you give up on latency when increasing the RAM speeds itself.

Such as in certain Trident Z memory modules hitting 4200MHz you can see timings as high as 19CL easily or beyond, a simple example you can see here: http://www.gskill.com/en/press/view/g-skill-boosts-ddr4-8gb-module-speed-up-to-4133mhz-16gb--8gbx2-

But all that varies by module to module and the speed of the RAM as well, DDR4 is bringing exciting stuff on board so I wouldn't be surprised if something totally out of ordinary comes out of blue for us.

Alan wake 2 is yet to recover it's development costs. Due to no physical release and no steam launch.
You reap what you sow. This is what happens when you take away choice from consumers. Even with 88% split going to developers, they can't recoup costs. Meanwhile, Helldivers 2 is a massive hit for Sony thanks in big part to Steam.
