Users availing the offer cannot port out, change ownership, disown/change the package or convert connection type to Prepaid for 12 months from date of activation. However, within the first 12 months, user can port out or discontinue use of Postpay Smartphone Plan after paying for pending dues and extended discounts. These include but are not limited to Special Number charges, PTML claimed dues and 12 months worth of complete installments as per the chosen handset plan.
After expiry of 12 month period, customer will be required to pay one time security deposit of Rs 2500 and monthly package line rent plus all applicable taxes to continue use of package. After 12 months user can pay special number charges of Rs 2000 and port out to any network after clearance of all requisites/pending dues.
Only dumb tools would go for this offer. They are charging way too much premium. Further no policy description given if your phone gets stolen within the first 12 months.

Not bad at all. You should know that it will definitely ease up on the pocket + such plans are always present abroad. Good to see Pakistan receiving such support as well.

The only downside is that banks are involved instead of carrier(s) themselves.

Even with carries, there's always a fee (which many will translate to interest) so it isn't all that bad.

The good thing with these plans is that you get loads of benefits per month.

A friend of mine here in KSA got a Note 2 on a plan from the carrier, it cost him 3100SR instead of 2400SR (this is the time near Note 2's launch), but he has been enjoying free minutes, free Internet (2GB) on 3G, SMS etc. The added cost can be translated to these benefits.

So I guess i'll have to explain the math

12*6800=81600
less
Postpay Package included in the deal 2463*12=29556 (Which is as stated in the T&C, haven't calculated it myself)
is equal to
52044

and how is that bad exactly?

- - - Updated - - -

Also alot more cash flow not stuck in the phone

Chalo let's give them the benefit of the doubt but there is tons of room for improvement. Remove CC restrictions, use more popular banks and seriously get rid of those BlackBerries and include something like an iPhone or HTC One.

iPhone doesn't have official representation in Pakistan.

Banks do not even fart for free
true
a bank will never work for FREE

though looking at the calculations it seems a fair deal

6800-2463 *12 = 52044

though who uses same set for 12 months, price will come way down until one finishes paying off the installments

but its definitely a very good step, hope they add more sets soon

@AFQ

Neither does BlackBerry. But networks still bring them. So rather than those fail phones, bring in the iPhone.
Z10 looks beautiful :D and there is still a niche market for Blackberries.

I do agree, they should also offer iPhone . :)
