Another football game by EA ? didn’t one come out just last month, oh well… Seeing as it’s the 4th football game by EA on 360 in LESS THAN A YEAR ! you would know better than to buy it …. But sometimes I forget to take my brain out of the refrigerator in the morning.
So ….. I haven’t played a FIFA game since FIFA04, every new FIFA is hailed as the best FIFA ever , which doesn’t really surprise cause the series is so shitty to begin with but UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE (UCL herein after) will surprise you , I guarantee that. Too bad its for all the wrong reasons.
UCL is a bit like the chicks people meet on the internet, she`s smart and funny. She laughs at your jokes and you love her. Went to meet her the other day, she has just one itsy bitsy problem.. she’s a HE ! here you’ve got a game that has a great soundtrack , some pretty slick menus , lots of extra stuff like lounge and ultimate team modes, awesome commentary , a stupid frikkin encyclopedia of the past winners (that you have to unlock no less) its all great …. Just don’t ever start a match.
Welcome to the real game, you`ll be greeted by underwhelming graphics, yeah they look sharp upclose but while playing its hard to tell if it’s a ps2 or a xbox1 game. certainly not nextgen. The animations also disappoint with few to none transitions in between. Players go from picking their noses to a diving header in an instant, it’s like teleportation only a lot crappier. The passing system sucks, wanna pass the ball to the flanks? Good luck mate , cause if the player is far enough your numbskull of a midfielder will just push the ball in to the open space and wait for the opposition to take it. Frikkin match fixers! You’ve also got less teams, season options, modes & what not than the regular FIFA games.
This gameplay is pure torture, youd be cursing at your monitor in no time. It makes me wanna kill people, this game is real reason so many people die everyday.
THIS YEAR`S NEW AND IMPROVED BEST FEATURE EVER ® ? Player Cards. you got pokemon in my football. I’d love to know whose great idea was this and KILL him.
The biggest problem with the game is the pace, its slower than a drunk turtle. Players take 20 hours to get from one edge of the screen to the other. Its like they are zombies or something (oh wait, plus point!) which leads to probably the best thing in the game, the commentary. Yeah, its just rehashed stuff from FIFAs of old but they have nailed the timing. The commentators are rarely late; they always know whats going on. You know what? Its kinda nextgen-y. Then again, I think the timing is perfect because the game is so slow that you never really get ahead of them.
FINALLY!
I’ll put this in simple words, UCL is a pile of shit. The game is an absolute pain to play. Even if Microsoft bans every game in the world except this, DON’T BUY IT. Stay in the dashboard, real-time blade change ftw!

You can collect Player Cards , unlock history lessons and match vids and what not. Too bad there isnt a simulate match option.

Looks rather awesome upclose , really bad from the default camera. Lighting is a bit too bright and a bit too simple.
8.0 Sound
The commentary ! The frikkin commentary !! players dont make much sound , the crowds repeat the chants A LOT and i`m playing 4 min matches only,
3.0 Gameplay
SCREW YOU EA , GIVE ME MY HUNDRED RUPEES BACK !
1.0 Multiplayer
Sucks like the singleplayer ,the only difference is that there are 2 persons cursing at the monitor.
4.0 Overall
Stay away from this game , its a shameless cash-in. If i were EA i wouldn't even release it. Someone could mod FIFA 98 and make a better game.
