Travelling with a guitar [HELP]

I'm going from Karachi to Lahore and I need to take my guitar with me. Wanted to know if Serene Airlines allows you to carry the guitar as a hand carry item. I'm not planning to give it as a normal baggage considering they don't handle it carefully. Should I take it with me or should I ship it using a courier service like TCS. Don't want to get there for the flight and find out I can't carry it, will have to dispose of a well working Electric Guitar in that situation, which I can't really afford to happen.* I don't have a hard case, only the bag.

I don't think they will allow Guitar in hand carry being it's size and dimensions not the weight.You can ask otherwise calling on their help line.

In international flights they accept it last month their was a guy traveling with me with a guitar Qatar airways

I did from Karachi to Isl and back..but this was back in around 2008..I was in a similar position and I actually kept the guitar between my legs vertically and on the way back I found a place to put it in the above head cabin. I would definitely call multiple airlines and just check what the norm is.

Usually the airlines do accept it as a hand carry. I haven't travelled locally but I did bring my guitar to PK once on Thai Airways. Best advice would be to get ready for anything (as this is Pakistan) and try to bring your guitar in a hard shell case so that even if they force you to put it in baggage, you won't have to worry about it being damaged.
