I didn't bother taking it to 30 hops, but here goes:Can someone on TW kindly run a traceroute to the following IP address: 13.81.160.0
Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot! I see you finally got relieved from PTCL!I didn't bother taking it to 30 hops, but here goes:
It was a long and tiring process, but TW has been 100% worth it so far. Thanks a lot! I see you finally got relieved from PTCL!
Hardware wise both ONTs support 1 Gbps over LAN.So when the Sales guy had come, I had noticed that he was saying that another and pricier ONT will have to be purchased in order to get speeds above 50Mbps, he said the other ONT for faster than 50Mbps speeds is "DUAL BAND". I did not give it much thought back then but I took the "DUAL BAND" as something to do with Fiber connectivity and not as "Wifi Dual Band" - which is actually the case.
So @murtaza12 , you got HG8245Q2 as they must have suggested with Dual-Band Wifi and I got the simple HG8245H model. Just out of curiosity, I ended up looking specification sheets for both ONTs today. It looks like there's literally no difference in the ONTs other than the Q2 being Dual Band and a lot heavier (which might explain why its running cooler, perhaps heatsinks? - unless that's the wrong weight, lol. 1500 Grams!
Anyhow, I am posting the Specification sheets side by side below. As can be confirmed, there's no difference between the two so this hopefully means that it will support whatever speeds TES will bring up in future, even if its 100Mbps+? (Which officially looks more like 2 Gbps downlink and 1Gbps uplink - certainly more than 50Mbps that I was informed the first one supports...

So if you use bridge mode already, no need for you to get the dual band ONT since your own router is handling the WiFi.
Their Q2 ONT supports 5 GHz WiFi, albeit with some crap Chinese internals and with terrible coverage as well.
I've disabled the WiFi on my ONT and my router is easily handling 70 Mbps up and down over both 2.4 and 5 GHz.
So if they're trying to trick you into getting the Q2 ONT just for 50+ Mbps, tell them to fuck off unless they're giving it for free lol. They're just trying to squeeze an extra 15k out of you.
I have the 70 package. My Netgear router has fantastic range on both 2.4 and 5 GHz, so no complaints from me.which package do u ahve ..50 / or 70 .. i have the q2 ont , yeah the range sucks balls at 5ghz , am gona get the asus gaming router to hook it up to this .

I don't download stuff at night, so can't really say. However, YouTube and Netflix are used and there aren't any complaints. Both can easily load in HD.murtaza12 do u feel slow down at night some times , i frequently see that download and upload dips at nights . but gets ok after a while . dont know the reason why .

ptcl is offering 100mb in 5k , i think its a good option , will i get decent pings on eu servers if i choose to get ptcl installed .
AC5300 is overrated, and overkill for your setup as well.yeah i notced a slight raise in pings maybe due to load on there net i guess , i need a suggestion for a very good wifi router which supports both 2.4ghz and 5ghz , i was thinking to get the best of the best from Asus

Not all what the Chinese produce is crap. Fenix flashlight i.e. are excellent.Their Q2 ONT supports 5 GHz WiFi, albeit with some crap Chinese internals and with terrible coverage as well.
In Karachi, the congestion is at the TW hops but it only happened day before. They know about it is what I know. Might be a fiber cut somewhere@Joker99
Do you face high latency after 8 PM?
I do, but it lasts like an hour mostly, and the high pings are between the ONT and the gateway in Karachi. I ran a trace route and while ping to the gateway is normally 25 ms, it goes up to 195 ms during these periods of congestion.
I emailed them about it, since it's been happening only for the past 2 days. Let's see what they say.
Yes, it went into 400's for sometime last night. Got any response?Joker99

Same I have been complaining about high pings since last week here in Lahore but I get crap replies, really testing my patience. Today had an email exchange, with me clearly mentioning the problem occurs around 9 pm. And they emailed me just before 6 when their network was down in my region for over an hour already that your complaint has been resolved. They seem to just reply quickly on email and not actually investigate or solve the problem.
@murtaza12 do tell them that the problem is in evening etc otherwise they will resolve the complaint or say " Additionally, presently multiple devices are connected with your ONT device. Therefore, you are requested to kindly restart your ONT device and share updated results/speed test results on a single PC/Laptop after disconnecting all other devices including external router (if connected any). " This
That only worked once with that 24 hour IP drop thing. That's normal. Just follow their procedure and then tell them to put you through to an engineer. One of their engineers will then call you
Hahahahaha they just sent me that exact email:Same I have been complaining about high pings since last week here in Lahore but I get crap replies, really testing my patience.
