[ToT] Crucial Releases First Mainstream 1TB SSD Under $1/GB (M500)

Up until this week, anyone wanting to get a hold of a 1TB Solid State Drive for their computer pretty much needed to sell a body part or their first born child. OCZ currently offers a 1TB Octane branded SSD which costs a ridiculous $2,500…and that’s on sale. Most people don’t spend $2,500 on their entire system let alone a single component. More here!

960GB to be exact. It's also available in mSATA form factor. Write speeds are pretty low on the 120/240GB variants. But overall, a good product from Crucial nonetheless.

also, the Octane is for 2.5k.
