Tons of research for AC unity (fixes, lags, stuttering and freezings issues)

Hello there everyone. Being a big AC fan, i have searched almost every corner of the internet trying to figure out what is the cause of the AC unity above mentioned issues and what are the solutions? I came to the following conclusions and thought to share it with those guys who are looking for the same subject matter to save them time, effort and the frustration.....

My pc specs are....
core i5 3570k
corsair vengeance 8 gb @ 1600mhz
HIS HD 7870 iceq turbo OC
fps at ac unity with low settings @ 1080p= 20-45, sometimes 58 (rarely) with the avg of 25 fps

So now for the tenets of all the related webs and youtube vids

1. U can firstly turn off everything in the advanced graphics

2. If ur game is supported by the Uplay, temporarily block its access to the net (THIS IS A CONFIRMED FIX FOR MANY PLAYERS, didnt work for me though)

3. Updating ur game to the version 1.2.0 may work (again didnt work for me)

4. U can go into the gfx setting and set the value of reflections to FALSE. (didnt work)

5. Download AMD gaming evolved software and add AC unity in it and optimize it to PERFORMANCE.... (it won me 3-4 frames in avg)

6. Update ur graphics card software, get beta of the AMD. (Improve the freezing and reduces mouse lags)

7. MOST IMPORTANT....JOIN HANDS WITH ME IN CURSING UBISHIT FOR RELEASING ASSASSIN GREED UNITY WHICH WASNT READY FOR THE LAUNCH.

SO TRUE!It looks like they just released it knowing that the game was half complete. May be they ran out of money and to survive did this gimmick, with a lot of money coming through MTX, they can now complete it, in another 3 months I guess. I remember AC3 which I didn't enjoy and Black Flag was ONE OF THE BEST GAMES you could play, I don't know what went wrong after AC BF. Expectations were super high.

I can hardly agree with the money running out thing. Rumors are ubisoft took a handsome bribe from the NVIDIA to fuck up AMD users. But then again, Consoles are having the same issues as we are. So nothing can be said for sure. And as for patching, the already released two of them and they just updated and didnt patch [MENTION=124622]neox3d[/MENTION]

I have not tried FC4 yet. currently downloading with a hope that it will be better optimized than ac unity

I have GTX 770 2GB and I Can Run FC4 with Ultra (Nvidia Graphics Turned on) 1 option on very high Mix. at 1080p Full 60fps not a slight dip.

Well FC4 is Good It isn't Optimized The Best Either. But It's Confirmed That You Can Play The Game On Good Settings. As Far As Unity Goes I don't know About That I still have to try it.

Sadly I think money IS an issue. Look how many studious have gone bankrupt, piracy and all that stuff, I think its ubisoft's fault to begin with, but they have also given us GREAT games, starting from Prince of Persia Sands of Time to Black Flag. I just think they are trying to survive the wrong way.

Strangely, my new gtx 660 3 gb version is running it well(don't know the exact FPS but it is playable) at ultra at 1600*900 or very high at 1080p so maybe the issue is VRAM because both next-gen consoles use the AMD APU which means both have a lot of VRAM as they share with it with their 8 GB RAM while even the 7870 or 770 mentioned here probably have 2 GB.

ur specs are decent. But no one can advice u if u tell them "runs like shit" rather than SPECIFICS Tell me ur current graphics settings along with the fps u are getting

I dont exactly know but resolution is 1080p all settings high and all filtering are off, 1080p looks good no need for extra 2x,4x super sampling also off and a new Sun ray settings? which i heard is very demanding is also off still the game shutters and

lags, Cinematics have missing voices :crying:

Well leave the res at 1080,,,,,, turn off everything and put all options to low and then check frames and tell me alongwith the version of ur game

I have .. what motherboard do you have..? talking from personal experience here.. I currently have the same processor and r9 280x but motherboard was h67.. and was facing tremendous graphics issues.. I recently upgraded my motherboard to z77 and the with everything exactly the same, my game looks beautiful and fps is 60+ always.. maybe that could help

ubisoft is releasing patch 3 tomorrow.. but I still think they dont know what is the problem.. they just made this game for 980 SLI only..
