[Preview] The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt GOTY Edition Gameplay Videos in 4K [Spoilers and Mature Content]

Hi everyone.

I have recently planned to upload all the videos of ''The Witcher 3 : Wild Hunt GOTY Edition'' gameplay in 4K.
For those wondering whats the GOTY Edition, its both the base game and season pass combined.
I have recorded these videos through OBS Studio on 2160p @ 30fps.
Also note that all graphics settings are maxed except AA is off and Hairworks AA is set at 2.

The only reason i am sharing these videos with you guys is that this is one the most beautiful game i have ever played, the only problem of playing this game is that once you have played it all other games seem ordinary. I have once completed the base game before although i also own the season pass, i have not played the DLCs yet . I played it on my old i7-3770k and 980Ti on a 1080p resolution system. Later on i got a 4K system and the results in difference of graphics were amazing, the saying 4k is overrated among gamers is a lie. i want you to witness this journey along with me, i know streaming 4k videos is difficult in Pakistan where Internet speed is an issue, but bare with me it also takes me a lot of time to upload them for everyone. [PART 1] [Finding Yennefer]

Brief : In this video the game starts you would see i have not skipped the game intro which comes before the menu as it explains the story a little and also tell us what witchers do basically. As the new game starts, you witness a cinematic ( it is not to be confused with a in game cutscene ) it shows the mage Yennefer running through a battlefield in no mans land ( the empty neutral space between two opposing armies) and the following day Geralt the main protagonist of the story is following her trail with his master Vesemir, the head of the Kaer Moerhan witcher school . A cut scene starts at Kaer Morhan the home of witchers in which Geralt sits in a bath tub, while Yennefer reads a book and tells him to get out of the tub and train Ciri who is just a child then, he later finds out Ciri is already training outside although she was supposed to be studying with Vesemir, who dossed off while teaching stuff from the witcher books to her. Geralt goes outside inquiries from Ciri why she is training when she was supposed to be studying with Her uncle Vesemir. Later the same day everyone is training in the battleground including the two other witchers Eskel and Lambert, then suddenly a white frost starts to appear, it seems as the temperature has dropped to a sudden -10C , a frozen black ship appears on the walls of the fortress of Kaer Morhen, there you see the wild hunt all dressed in there black armor, there armor carved with skulls and other dark objects. It seemed as if the The Wild Hunt came to take Ciri with them.

Then suddenly the Cutscene ends and you come to realize all of this was Geralt`s dream as he was sleeping next to a tree with Vesemir and he had been on the road for almost half a year, he explains Vesemir he had a nightmare in which he saw Yennefer and him at Kaer Morhen although she has never been there, explains to him how The Wild Hunt was after Ciri who was a child in the dream while in reality she must be a young woman. Vesemir asks Geralt to let him have a look at the letter which Yennefer sent to him, as he might have missed something, when Vesemir holds the letter it smells of Lilac and Gooseberries, thus this is the First Primary Quest of the game finding Yennifer ''Lilac and Gooseberies''. As Geralt and Vesemir ride through villages they see a man hiding under a wagon cart begging for help while a creature who has the head, wings of an eagle and a body of a lion feasting on his horse , the two witchers being monster slayers scare of the creature and in the process Vesemir gets slightly wounded, they console the terrified wagon merchant and tell him this creature is called a 'Griffin' who preys upon humans and animals. They ask the traveling merchant about a woman smelling of lilac and gooseberries which fits Yennifer`s description, he unfortunately has no clue and advises the witchers to go to the local Inn of 'The White Orchard' where travellers pass through, The White Orchard is a place somewhere near Vizima.

While on their way to the Inn you can clearly witness people hanging through the wayside and military presence as if there has been a war . When they arrive at the Inn there are all sorts of people. Geralt starts to inquire about Yennefer only to feel hostility towards him from the locals. you also find out that this White Orchard came in the territories of the Temerian Kingdom which has now been overthrown and now is ruled by Nilfgaardian empire, The last person Geralt asks is a very shady character who calls himself 'Gaunter O'Dimm' a traveler and merchant of mirrors. He knows everything why the witcher is here and who he is looking for precisely. Geralt finds out that Jennifer was indeed here, she was seen in the local Nilfgaardian garrison. Part 1 ends

[PART 2] [The Griffin Contract]

Brief: The Story continues in this video, Geralt arrives at the Garrison and we meet Captain Peter Saar the commander of the local Nilfgaardian garrison in White Orchard. Captain peter admits right away where Yennefer is but will only disclose her location if the witcher kills the griffin who has been killing his troops and disrupting the peace, Geralt being a witcher by trade takes the contract right away. So, Geralt does thorough investigation and kills the Griffin with this master and close friend Vesemir. Later he informs Captain Peter that the beast is dead and now he must tell where Yennefer is as promised only to find out she was in Vizima a days ride from White Orchard.

In this video you will see i played Gwent the card game and lost badly as i have never played it before.

[Part 3] [Audience With The Emperor]

Brief: In this Video Geralt goes back to the Inn to inform Vesemir about Yennefer`s location and to prepare for the journey ahead, upon his arrival both witchers have a bloody brawl with the locals. As they are about to leave while standing outside the Inn Nilfgaardian troops arrive on horseback with them a woman which is Yennefer, Geralt is shocked because he never expected her to find him here, she asks him to come with her to Vizima to meet Emperor Emhr var Emreis of The Nilfgaard Empire

at once as he wants to meet Geralt, as the invitation is not for Vesemir he heads back to Kaer Morhen. On their way to Vizima they are attacked by The Wild Hunt in which the unfortunate casualties are the Nilfagaardian Troops, luckily both Yennefer and Geralt Survive the attack unscathed. Afterwards there is a delay and you see Geralt in Vizima having a bath, then the court`s chamberlain arrives and says that he should be dressed adequately and be clean shaven for his meeting with Emperor.

Upon Geralt's audience with the Emperor you come to realize the fact he means business as his daughter Ciri has returned and The Wild Hunt is after her, Geralt is to find her at all costs as she trusts him and he says the rest will be told to you by Yennefer. Then after meeting with her, She confirms the fact that Ciri has been sighted in two cities Velen and then Novigrad, she asks the witcher to investigate first in Velen as it is a promising lead. She also tell us about the Emperor`s spy named Hendrik who is disguised as a Merchant in Velen, that Geralt is to find him and he will provide rest of the intel. The only reason Yennefer is not using magic to locate Ciri is because The Wild Hunt can trace her through it. Yennefer herself goes to Skillege Isle through a portal.

you will also see that i completed the secondary quests and witcher contracts before leaving White Orchard. which helps us acquiring gold and getting more experience, which by virtue unlocks and empowers abilities of Geralt. In this game it very important to repair and upgrade your belonging such as the silver sword for monsters, the regular sword, boots, trousers, chest armor, gloves and your crossbow arrows. Also later on the game you can also upgrade saddles for your horse roach which increases his stamina and a bigger side bag for him so you can store more stuff.

[PART 4] [Finding Hendrik]

Brief: So at the start I play some gwent and lose like always :'( , then I complete the witcher contract of White Orchard, afterwards I fast travel to Velen as advised by Yennefer to find the Hendrik the Emperor`s spy. I arrive at the Inn near the crossroads and ask the barkeep about Hendrik apparently he lives in a village called Heatherton, Upon Geralt's arrival in the village it is literally cold as ice and frozen, only to find out that The Wild Hunt had already killed Hendrik and interrogated him. Hendrik has a basement cellar in which we find all the intel he had accumulated in a diary about a woman with ashen hair and a scar on her face which matches Ciri`s description which has been sighted in Velen and had an interaction with local war lord aka The Bloody Baron who lives in Crows perch, his documents also reveal that Ciri also had some sort of an argument with a local witch. Now Heading towards Crows Perch.

Note: In the end of the video you will notice glitches in the terrain when I arrive near Crows Perch so i stopped the recording, the issue resolved itself.

[PART 5] [Meeting The Bloody Baron]

Brief: Now as Geralt has arrived in Crow's Perch to meet The Bloody Baron, he inquires from the Baron about Ciri, in which he confirms that she had indeed been in Crow's Perch and then the game changes,suddenly you see a short cinematic in which Ciri is running through a forest and takes a tumble from a small slope, and then you are actually playing as Ciri herself as she runs in the forest she kills off some wolves she encounters a little girl called Gretka who is hiding on top the trees as she is lost as well,she says that there is a wolf king in the forest, later Ciri kills the wolf king who is actually a werewolf, and in that process she rescues this man who the wolf was about to eat. The man is one of the locals of Crow's perch who says that the baron would reward her for killing the wolf king as he/it was creating al ot of problems. But you later find out that the rescued man only brought Ciri to the baron so that he could get a reward as the barons wife and daughter are missing and he thought Ciri could be his lost daughter.

Again we are back to the present day and the Baron explains to the Witcher how his wife and daughter are missing and the baron just like the Captain of Nilfgaardian Garrison will only disclose her location once he has found his family. So naturally Geralt accepts demand as he has no choice . He investigates the Baron's Manor for any clues on the whereabouts of the Baron's family , only to find an amulet which was given to the wife of the Baron Anna buy a local pellar in Velen. So Geralt sets off to meet with pellar, upon their meeting he finds out that the amulet or pendant was prepared to protect his wife from the dark evil surrounding her, later he augers and tells the Witcher that the missing daughter and wife can only be found by a miscarried child of the Baron which was not given a proper funeral. He also tells the Witcher that the baron has a loose temper and he is a morbid alcoholic, he also beat his wife.Which pretty much explains half of the story as the barons wife and daughter might have run off themselves because of the constant abuse .The Witcher confronts the baron back at crows perch about him beating up his family only to get the barons denial and as the baron is drunk both the baron and Geralt have a fistfight, he knocks out the baron .

[Part 6] [The Baron's Family]

Brief: After the Baron is knocked out the scene changes, Geralt confront's the Baron that he beat his family that is why they ran away, the Baron explains he never laid a hand on his daughter Tamara but his wife Anna was a different story, as she angered him. Geralt then asked about the miscarried child, then the Baron woefully tells him that happened because his wife fell during a fight, and he buried the dead unborn child which was a girl, outside so no one would see. The Wicther tells him that was a mistake and the child needs to be given a proper funeral inside his threshold and a proper name, otherwise the dead child will become a botchling and haunt its surroundings. The Baron takes the witcher to the childs grave, apparently where the child is buried the graves is already dug up and the botchling is on the prowl so the Witcher calms it and asks the baron to name her and bury her inside his threshold, so it can be converted into a lubberkin which will guide the Witcher in finding the barons lost family.

As the lubberkin is summoned the Witcher asks it show him the path where his mother and sister went, to whom it shares blood ties with. So the lubberkin guides the Witcher to a peasants hut in Velen. The farmer tells the Witcher he indeed hepled the baron's family but in that process a strange large creature emerged from the forest and abducted the barons wife Anna, took her into the forest. While the farmer and the Baron's daugther Tamara escaped to his family's hut. He tells the Witcher the barons daughter Tamara is with his brother in Oxenfurt. After the Witcher's arrival in Oxenfurt, Geralt asks Tamara that his father misses her and wants her to come back, she completely rejects the offer and says she will never go back to his father especially the way he treated her mother, she says her father is as good dead to her. When the Witcher tells this to the Baron he is heart broken. Now the Witcher demands that he must tell him more about Ciri's visit in Crow's Perch, then the scene changes in which Ciri is well rested and a wager takes place in which there is a horse race between Ciri and Baron.

[Part 7] [The Witch Of Midscope]

Brief : So the Witcher after finding out from someone that Ciri quarreled with some local witch in Velen, he tries to pursue this lead . Only to arrive in the village of Midscope, after locating this which by the help of the local peasants he finds out that this witch Keira Metz is an old friend of his and one of the members of The Lodge Sorceresses, apparently she is in hiding in Velen after the fall of Temeria as King Radovid is hunting all the witches of the Lodge. Geralt asks Keira about Ciri, unfortunately she never had a run in with her and suggests he is rather confusing her with some other witch, but she does disclose the fact that a masked Elven Mage came to Keira asking about Ciri, that the elf and Ciri were supposed to meet in Velen. The elf has found shelter in the eleven ruins in Midscope. so Keira and the Witcher head there.

As they arrive in the Elven ruins they see the wild hunt in front of them with a navigator to port from one place to another without any obstacle as they are also chasing the eleven mage, as Geralt and Keira try to go after them they decipher many messages left by the Elven Mage for Ciri through morphotic projections. In which he is giving hints how to find him, on their path they also encounter a Golem which you have to kill to go on further in the ruins. As we go further we also have fight with an Elven warrior of The Wild Hunt called Nithral , when you are done killing there is the last projection in which the masked mage tells Ciri to meet her where they last met and to beware of the witches of the CrookBag Bog. So now the Witcher has a major lead to find Ciri in the CrookBag Bog.

[Part 8] [Chores For Keira Metz]

Brief : This is video is about a side quest when Geralt does some chores for Keira Metz the witch of Midscope who is in hiding from the Redanians and the Nilfgaardians as she is the former advisor of the fallen King Foltest. the only reason i uploaded this video as it plays a significant role in the later main story of the game. Geralt is asked by Keira to go to flyke's Isle where there is a cursed lords manor, she asks him to help her lift the curse of the Isle, only to later find out that her intentions were twisted, as in the manor there is information about a biological weapon which Keira plans to sell to the Redainian King Radovid V for her freedom, Geralt confronts Keira and advises her to let go of this scheme as it will take lives of many innocent people. Keira tells the witcher she is tired of living like a peasant in a stupid village, to which Geralt offers her shelter in the witcher school of Kaer Morhen, as she would be comfortable as well as hidden there, to which she surprisingly agrees.

Brief[FONT=&quot] : [/FONT]The Witcher arrives at the CrookBag bog where supposedly Ciri had a quarrel with some witch, upon his arrival he inquires the village children about an ashen haired woman, all the children deny seeing any such women except onr, he vaguely says that a boy named johnny who lives in the woods knows probably, then also denies that johnny doesn't exist as he is imaginary then an old lady shows up whom the children call Gran, she rudely shuns the Witcher . after much investigation the Witcher finally finds about johnny's whereabouts, apparently he lives in a burrow . When he comes out of lair, the Witcher finds out that the child is not a human but a Godling, who cannot speak as his voice is taken from him as a form of punishment. Then Geralt willing helps the Godling to find his voice back, when the Godling is able to speak. he explains to the Witcher how the crones took his voice from his, then we arrive at the Crookbag bog , Johnny requests Gran to help find the ashen haired woman. Surprisingly the Gran agrees and takes him to this room where there is this tapestry on which there is an image of the three crones of the bog. The Gran and the Witcher communicate with the crones, when Geralt inquires about Ciri that she quarreled with the crones, the crones admit that they had an encounter with Ciri and they shall only reveal their part of the story if Geralt performs a chore for them.

Nearby in a village called Downwarren people are tormented by a creature of the woods, who so ever wanders near it dies or gets missing, apparently these people pay homage to the crones. Geralt is suppose to get rid of this creature. this creature is a cursed and is now a trees heart, after killing it geralt returns to crookbag bog, the three crones come out in their true form, they explain to him how she was on the run from the wild hunt and got injured, they nursed her back to health but in that process they find out she has Elder blood in her veins, as her blood is very powerful the crones had a plan to kill Ciri, luckily she ran away in time. In all this Geralt uncovers a big secret that the Gran in Crookbag bog is the Blood Baron's wife.

[Part 10] [Rescuing The Baron's Wife]

Brief : The Witcher returns from the bog to Crow's Perch, so he can report to the Baron that he has located his missing wife. The Witcher explains to the Baron how she is living in Crookbag Bog according to her own will, the crones made a pact with her in return they would help her get rid of the Baron's unwanted child. the Baron gets infuriated and reminds the Witcher that his job was to bring her back and not report back her living conditions, to which The Eitcher replies that his task was to find his wife not bring her back, The Witcher also reminds the Baron of his promise to him of telling him what happened to Ciri. The baron tells him how a basilisk attacked him and Ciri during her brief stay in Velen and how she had saved his life from certain death, the Baron gives Ciri his horse and she leaves Velen so she can meet with someone in Novigrad. After hearing the fact Ciri had gone to novigrad Geralt argues with the Baron how could he have let her cross the Pontar during wartime, he tells Geralt that she wanted to meet a sorceress,.then a strange thing happens ubba a monster shows up in barons room, who is apparently a court jester which the baron won in a card game.

Upon the barons request, Geralt joins him in the Crookbag Bog to retrive his wife, but over there Tamara the barons daughter is also there along with the witch hunters of Oxenfurt to find her mother, she is not pleased at all to see her father, in the meantime the baron tries to convince her that he is a changed person now and he wants to help her mothers that is all. The witch hunters break open a locked cottage to only find the barons wife has gone crazy and totally lost her mind. Then a fiend approaches and attacks everyone, it is killed with the aid of everyone. there is an argument between the father and the daughter about the issue who will take care of Anna, the baron says he can help her as he knows a hermit who has a gift of healing who lives in the blue mountains, surprisingly Tamara agrees.[FONT=&quot]

[Part 11] [Finding Triss Merigold]

Brief : The Witcher sets off to Novigrad in his quest to find Ciri, but first he must find his old friend Triss Merigold who is a renowned sorceress, who is apparently in Novigrad . Upon crossing The Pontar and Geralts's Arrival in Novigrad he witness something strange about this free city, that it has succumbed to the influence of the these religious zealots and extremists who call themselves the witch hunters who worship the eternal fire. The sole mission of these witch hunters is to hunt down sorcerers, mages, anyone who possess a form of magic and get rid of them. Then the Witcher arrives at the city center which is known as The Hiearch Square, where there is a large gathering of local people and the cruel witch hunters are burning mages alive at the stake on charges of witchcraft. After this whole incident the Wicther arrives at the home Triss which is abandoned due to obvious reasons, then Witcher has an encounter with robbers who trying break into Triss`s home, upon their interrogation they reveal that the king of beggars a local boss of the underworld would know where she is, the only problem is that no one knows where he actually lives . After much investigation and by following a pick pocket who pay homage to the king of beggars, he discovers the kings location. surprisingly when he meets with the king of beggars face to face, Triss is with him and apparently he is trying to help the mage and sorcerers.

When Geralt and Triss are finally alone she explains to him that the king of beggars might be a criminal but he is trying to help her our and apparently she has a job as she was hired by a wheat merchant the biggest in the city, to clear his grannies out which are infested by rats, only to be betrayed by him as he was forced by the witch hunters to trap and lure the famous Triss Merigold so she could be caught, only to there bad luck Geralt was with her to deal with them. Upon killing the witch hunters, Triss tells the Witcher to go to a Oneiromancer Corinne Tilly as she might be able to help him out in finding the whereabouts of Ciri.

[Part 12] [The Dreamer]

Brief : The Witcher arrives at the house of a Novigrad banker apparently his house is haunted and Corinne Tilly the dreamer, is trying to dream the history of the haunted house, she has given instructions not to disturb her. When the Witcher goes inside the dreamer is having nightmares and a Godling is standing on top of the bed. As soon as the Godling sees Geralt it vanishes. When Geralt confronts the Godling after a thorough search of the house, he finds out the house is not haunted at all, it is all the Godlings doing and it was responsible for giving the dreamer nightmares. When the dreamer wakes up Geralt informs her of the entire ordeal. The dreamer asks the Witcher to meet him at the local Inn where she is staying.

When Geralt and the dreamer meet again at the Inn he informs her that he needs vital information about Ciri, the dreamer tells the Witcher she needs to be told a strong memory between the Witcher and Ciri, to which Geralt conforms. then he is asked by the dreamer to lie down and sleep, and he shall have a relevant dream about the whole issue in question . Geralt then has an abstract dream that Ciri was indeed in Novigrad and met his friend dandelion the bard. When Geralt wakes up its now obvious that he needs to find the bard.
