What i read on internet and to make my statement more clear, on 1440p monitor pro will be sending 1080p signals (just like to a 1080p monitor), 4k and any content i.e 4k or 1440p will be downsampled to 108p on 1440P (2K) monitor.
I have 2k monitor so i have researced about it, but u can come with any source if u say pro can send 1440p signal to a 1440p monitor i.e it can downsample from 4k to 1440p or upscal 1080p content to 1440p.

Don't think of it like a PC.
Pro's in-game resolution depends on whatever the pro patch had it.
If you have a 1080p TV, and if the game supports super sampling, the game will always render at higher resolution. The image is then down sampled to your TV resolution, because we're fitting in more than 1080p pixels into a 1080p frame, it naturally looks more cleaner and appears like a sharper form of anti aliasing.
The Pro does not send 1440p signals, the only available resolutions are 1080p or 2160p, however if you have a 1440p monitor and you have the PS4 selected at 1080p, if that game has a Pro patch with higher resolution and supports super sampling (i-e not the last guardian
) it will still be rendering at that higher resolution and even on your 1080p selected resolution, you'll get better image quality than native 1080p.
Think of it the same as PC super sampling.
