Okay this makes me feel stupid.

What I thought was the worst Ultras in the game, is actually one of the best, most versatile, and most comboable.
Landing a jump in HK can lead to 350+ damage without EX meter. 500+ damage with full Super meter.
Good shit Capcom. This shows yet again why we shouldn't judge things so quickly.

Rose looks a lot like a character that I'd play now. Who knows?
Fun fact: She was my first SFIV main and the first character I finished Trial mode with.

i borrowed hammad bhai's 360 (xdagamex) to try out ssf4, the first thing i noticed was tht the gameplay has become faster and dhalsims stage is super awsm, as for the new characters i wasnt much excited abt them, and after tryin all of them my feelings remained the same, the only ones who slightly interested me were ibuki and juri, makoto seemed like the worst of the lot imo....had high hopes for dudley but didnt like him much either.... overall the new characters seemed a bit KOF'ish ,especially juri , nt like its a bad thing or anything , .... i guess when every1 will be using new characters i will use juri just for the heck of it....

Juri is pretty interesting i have been playing with her for some couple of hours, she is on my top "main" list.

Got a chance to play SSF4, special thanks to autofire2 for that! It's SF4 with more characters. Out of the new characters, I did like playing with Juri and T Hawk.

Other than that, Ryu's Ultra2 is probably the coolest looking and sounding ultra in the game. Blanka was pretty much the same, I personally like the shorter lp ball since you can mix up a lot more.

Can't wait to get it now.

Street Fighter IV tribute video :frown: thought id post this since i will probably get my copy of ssf iv today.

Had some great times playing with you guys. if it wasn't for this game i probably would not have had the pleasure of getting to know all of you. And if wasn't for you guys i would still be jumping kick into crouch Sweeping my way to oblivious victory or defeat. props to you all, much <3

Heres to a great game that allowed me to revisit my childhood memories of beating my younger brother to a pulp, blue fireballs, green Brazilian weirdos, 16 bit shenanigans, Raul Julia and Chun Li's shower scene from the manga movie . It rekindled my love of 1v1 fighting games. take a bow SF4, you are a star.

Correct me if I'm wrong...
1 match (full or partial) gives 1 taunt or color.
20 matches required (full or partial) for one characters all taunts and colors.
Assuming you unlock 2P's taunts colors too...
20*35/2= 350 matches for everyone's taunts and colors.

I still think Vanilla was better. The survival, TA modes were fun (to me) and unlocking a color meant unlocking it for everyone.

I always thought tht Tekken is the best fighting game.. and i thought no other game cud take its place, atleast in my head.. but after playin SF4 i realized tht its not how gud the graphics are, or the ending.. its abt the gameplay and hype.. SF4 came like tsunami and washed away all other fighting games around.. The ultras the Supers the matchups the mind games the learning the comebacks the rivalries the trash talking the characters the stages the arcade sticks the frame data the damage scaling.. these were never so much fun...

SF4 is really my fav fighting game.. and even if super wasnt here.. i wud've been playin this game for the next 5 years..

Well, I'm trying to speed run the trophies.
I like them hard but quick (trials) rather than slow and easy (unlock shit).
Even the guy with the highest no. of platinum trophies in the world doesn't have SFIV platinum.

@BM: No worries, man. And didn't I tell you about Ryu's Ultra2? Is it gorgeous or what?

Also had a blast learning a little about non shoto/boxer/dhalsim matchups, especially your blanka...I think that slide has like 100 active frames. Boxer definitely had an easier time against him because of his "lol, you did ANYTHING? I can dash-punch punish".

i've done almost all ryus trials, still don't have all the technical ability to do all of them, especially the last one i.e. jump hp, lp, lp, mp, mk, hadouken, fadc, metsu srk

game plays pretty well still, only thing that gets me is that ryus damage has been nerfed pretty hard

for instance, jab jab srk fadc utlra1 used to take 427 damage in vanilla i think while the same in ssf4 takes approxiatemly 306

First Impressions:
Shit is so fucking hype right now. The first thing I did after the main menu was go to training mode and Try Dee Jay and Cody (not thoroughly). Both of them are pure sex. PURE SEX!! Dee Jay's links are so crispy. Did crossup MK, cr. LP, cr. MP, Uphands like I've been doing that forever. Great character for chargers like Mofo.
Cody feels like a Tank. High kick FADC Ultra is eaaaasy. Feels a bit slow if you're used to walking instead of Dash. Awesome character.
Installed the game and did all of Guy's trials. Hands are oily so didn't want to mess the TE stick. Did all of them with controller and didn't have any trouble. This feels like one of the greatest game I've played and I've only played it 30 minutes.

I both pity and envy the ones who don't have it. Pity because you can't play this awesome game yet. Envy because the experience of going to the select screen the first time and picking one of the new characters is golden, and sadly only comes ones. SUPER virgins are in for a treat. Its like getting your first present from Santa Claus. That said, don't message me on PSN. I'm going for a 6-7 marathon.

GET HYPE!!!

P.S. Review coming soon, both for PG and WG. Unless anyone else wants to do it. I don't mind.
