What the hell, I thought you could only fight the Reaper on a second playthrough . I heard the dangling chain sound in the dungeon as well, while I was farming chests on the first floor, I guess it's the sound of the Reaper chest appearing.

Also with Golden (just like in P3P), you can use basically any low-level Persona (Like Izanagi) throughout the entire game if your crazy enough. Izanagi after a point will stop learning skills but you can keep leveling him up and give him more skills and overwrite older skills by use of skill cards introduced from P3P, I guess.

they may have unleashed the reaper into the dingeons like in P3.It took me by surprise in P3, I was standing in the middle fo a floor when Fuuka wnet "oh look it's death" I was like: 0__o? haha good times.

also I'm pretty sure we can use Izanagi upto the end in P4 (ps2) as well.

Probably the highest rated non-iOS game this year.

Got to play only 30 minutes of it. Damn, that OLED screen makes it look fantastic. There isn't an option for Japanese voices, I haven't seen or played anything Nippon made in Japanese.

You can but you can't give him new skills since there are no skill cards. Without any good skills his not really useful for the entire game.

Anyways, I cleared the first dungeon.

Rescued Yukiko while my SP was very low and I was almost out of HP/SP items. That's what you get for doing the entire dungeon + grinding in a single day! But still managed to beat Shadow Yukiko with relative ease.

Really strange that they removed the save point which appears before the door to the dungeons main boss.

^^Dude, i've seen vids on youtube of people using Level 95 Izanagis with Ziodyne and Maziodyne.I don't know how they did it but it seems to be possible.

It's by messing with fusion skill inheritance and obtaining certain Arcana cards which upgrade abilities. But its hardly effective, will take a long time and still only certain skills can be inherited. Like I said it's easier in Golden since you can just give a Persona certain cards which contain skills like Maragidyne, Magarudyne etc. This way makes it more viable since you can customize virtually any Persona provided you have the cash and cards ofcourse

I played Persona 3 about 2-3 months ago on my Vita when there weren't any games out on it. Loved it to bits. But I am popping my P4 cherry with this one.

^^I played 4 first.Loved em both, but P4 was a bug improvement gameplay wise and Golden will be an even bigger leap.

ANd once you're done with this you should get P4 Arena for your PS3 since you're a fighting game fan and like visual novels too and Persona.Arena is a combination of all these things.

By the way I noticed that they tweaked some of the bosses weaknesses such as the second boss of the first dungeon.

Shadow Yukiko is now weak to Ice, I don't think she was ever before and the prince she summons did jackshit except just casting silence on party members and then escaped before I defeated it and refused to come back.

Funny that they did since for many Shadow Yukiko was the games hardest boss. I wonder how many others are changed.

There's a few new online features like checking how most people spent a day and what were the most popular fusions but the biggest is the rescue thing. While in a dungeon you see an "SOS" icon on your screen, you tap it and it sends out a signal to other players saying that "I need help". If the players decide to send me aid then at the start of the next battle I get into my entire party would gain some HP/SP. The more people that send aid, the more HP/SP you get at the start of the battle (max I received right is now is three people and about 15HP/11SP). Doesn't cost anything and you can do it as many times as you want although I'm not sure if the amount of HP/SP you receive is proportional to your maximum HP/SP. Nifty as a start of the game alternative to Invigorate.

Persona is best experienced on a portable console. JRPGs are perfect for portable gaming IMO.

Agreed. The vita is exceptional in that matter. Put the game on standby for hours without having to worry about the battery. I used to go a hundred levels in Disgaea's item worlds without having to worry about loadshedding and other such shit.

Yeah, that's a change from the PS2 version.None of the major bosses in the game

had any elemental weaknesses and they were all immune ti light and dark attacks as well.You could never stagger them.

Persona 5 is already in the works and the director has already confirmed that the team is now focusing all their attention on the project.They've milked Persona 4 enough.It's time for them to move on.Maybe next TGS we'll get a look at it.
