Its been quite some time since Ps3 has been jailbreaken.
My lil' brother is set to buy a Xbox360 jasper for his birthday, even though we already have an Xbox360 jasper. He says he wants his "own" console and is determined to buy his "own" console.
As it would be ridiculous to have same consoles, I suggested him to get a ps3.
Please guide me which one should he purchase(the 250gb one?) and where can he get games "installed" in it(in Karachi). Please bear in mind he would not be purchasing many original games, 5 original game would suffice him but the problem is he gets bored with games very quickly and would need many installed games.
Which mod chip/USB is best and most simple to use?
Please tell me prices of ps3 variants ( so i won't be ripped off in the market).
P.s. I'm sorry if this has been asked before but i need expert advise in my case. and he won’t be going online.

Can you give me the Numbers of Electro deal and Nasir's shop?
Will i get warranty of the ps3?

well ...actually it'll be your PS3 that'll become useless, not the Hack. 
If you hack your PS3 and then upgrade your FW to the latest version... the probability of your console being banned will be high....Lets suppose you don't care about online gaming at all, then you can hack your PS3 so that you can play all the PS3 exclusive titles on it. By the time you're done with it... hopefully the hacking world will have come up with a new hack which will allow you to play all those newer games with the HACK too.... but all this depends totally on you. I've got my PS3 last sunday only and haven't updated the FW yet... I was confused between the decision to Hack, or to Not Hack... but a friend just said that there's no point of playing a PS3 and not playing online... a person should instead have bought a XBOX360. and he was right... so I've decided to finally update.

No, you won't get any warranty of the PS3 form here, unless you purchase it from an Official SONY store. The price of a 250GB model at Sony's Outlet is about 37k~38k... they give you a 1 year warranty.
Forget the dealer, dunno which stupid dealer you went to, probably he wants to sell all his original PS3 titles to you, because no one would be buying it from him any more , and he has already invested in it, so he's screwed. . . and yeah you need to have the HACK for sure.... but to Hack or not to HACK is somethin you have to decide on your own man... no one can guide you here.

@ frostbite90 some version of enslaved are 3.41 and they are working on jailbreak. even Medal of honor is also working by using some tricks. i have been informed about this a while ago. it was my bad luck that i got enslaved with 3.42 version....
@furball.....currently i am using back up manager 2.0...i have downloaded gaia manager 1.03.1 and hermes v4b.. but don't know what to do next. using back up manager 2.0 i have already saved around 10 games in my ps3 hdd. don't wanna delete them.. kindly advise what to do next. how to install gaia manager and hermes to play ENSLAVED....

Hello, everyone. Putting out a question that I need someone to answer from experience. Does the Samsung 2333T (available at galaxy for 17.7k) support the PS3 over DVI (using an HDMI->DVI adapter). Even though its specifications suggest that it should (HDCP support, 1080p support), I've heard that it doesn't actually work in real life. I was told this by a PG member who sold his because of this reason. Can anybody confirm this based on their real life experience?
Also, any other suggestions for a 23" monitor roughly in this price range for use with the PS3 (using HDMI/DVI) ?

My Friend's PS3 is giving this error...
"The Harddisk file system is corrupted and will be restored", Then ps3 restarts and get restore but error remains the same...
