did anyone experience a cracking sound coming from ps3? even when ps3 is not running? mine did sometimes it does even when it is not running. a weird crack sound...a little teasing for me..last night at around 4 am when i was sleeping a crack sound came out of my ps3, i got scared and i thought that dead space creepy horrible creature is trying to come out

It is normal with the ps3 slims. Happens, even with brand new consoles if you play long enough. The plastic gets hot or something I guess. Cant really tell. There was a thread here about it...

So nowadays im using my ps3 slim 12 hrs a day with 6 hour gaps in between ...(i usually leave my ps3 in bspec mode in granturismo5 endurance race)..i wanted to ask if it is safe to continue using like this or should i reduce its running time?

well it just show me a black screeen nd thn turn off by it self ....

yeah dere is cracking sound....dat is because when u r running da ps3 the system heats up and xites the molecules , the molecules then gain heat energy and start moving in vibrational mode thus the system began to expand , the system expands to a certain limit depending on the temprature and the amount of heat liberated and then stops the expansion of the molecules while trying to expand the PS3 makes a CRAAAACK sound , similarly when the PS3 is turned off the system starts to lose the heat and den begans to contract while trying to contract the molecules fall to there original position and thus in doing so da same CRAAAAAACK is heard and dis proves dat the crack sound has no connection wid any sort paranormal or necromorphic activity in short no monster is tryin to come out of ur PS3 :hah:

I want to buy more than 200 GB hard disk for my PS3 & my range is about 4k. Any specific brand I should go for? Which is the best place to buy it in Karachi with reasonable rates? Plz need help!

Waninkoko V1 was reported to brick ps3, but V2 is working fine so far with fat and slim...no one reported bricking of consoles using Waninkoko V2...

MW2 doesn't run via backup. Not yet anyway, whether you're using 3.42JB, 3.55 Kmeaw, Waninkoko v2 etc.. Neither does Forgotten Sands or Fear 2, I posted that a while back btw.

Internal. I want to upgrade my ps3 hardisk!

get a Toshiba 320gb for about 4k or a 500gb for about 5k depending on your need . remember to pick 5400 rpm drives, not 7200rpm drives as ps3 works best with 5400 rpm drives (minute speed difference and heat issue in some cases for fat consoles.)

Yes thanks but u didn't tell me the best place to get @ the cheapest price. Wese 320gb (aik jagah say pata kiya hai mere big bro nay) is more than 5k & 500gb for 6.5k, the same Toshiba brand. And yes I know those specs.

get a full 500gb/1tb external 3.5' hdd if you dont plan to keep it on the go. Otherwise check the WD passport series. Those should be adequate for your use

dubai games generally tend to be region 2 if I am correct. check and buy region 2 games only, they will work with a pound psn card.

Yes you can. I've done it myself. Doesn't depend on the place you got it from, just check what region it is on the sleeve, that is the only thing that matters
