Neither was WiTribe.

They've been testing since May, surely they've made some progress by now.
WiTribe is using 3500 MHz for their LTE Advance network and 3500 MHz almost require double towers as compare to Jazz and Zong LTE 1800 MHz to cover same area. 3500 MHz also struggle to penetrate inside concrete buildings.

That user might getting low signals.

What have they been doing since May then? Just creating hype for their network which still isn't ready yet?

iNCEPTiON already said they are planning to cover Lahore first, the user who mentioned it was in Lahore, so you'd expect them to have decent results there, but noooo.

I think they are like PTCL Charji which says 36 Mbps speed but in actual gives 1-5 Mbps. And their 100 Mbps is giving 20 Mbps.

And how they've managed to run 4g on Band 3 1800Mhz

Sent from my Lenovo X3c50 using Tapatalk
They had 8.8 MHz of 1800 MHz and 4.8 MHz of 900 MHz for 2G services. They have now reformed 3 MHz out of 8.8 MHz of 1800 MHz for 4G to avoid congestion on 5 MHz of 850 MHz 4G. But this is only available at selected areas of Karachi and Islamabad only atm.

Any app for unrooted devices?

No. But for Mediatek SoC devices there is MTK engineering Mode app which doesn't require root access. With information of 4g Band number and width detail it also allow users to lock specific 2g, 3g and 4g bands.
