First it was 1 GB in Rs. 10, Than it become 750 MB in Rs 13 and now it is 350 MB in Rs 13. Telenor is keep reducing MBs in its packages and increasing the price at the time when competition is catching fire. Telenor 4G speed is already 3G level and now with this kind of changes in packages will become last nail in the coffin. #RIPTelenor4G

Want to port my secondary Telenor sim to Mobilink now. Is their any good daily Mobilink data bundle?

Telenor weekly package is best.. It stacks up as well.. Rs 85 and 1250MB and 150Rs. BALANCE...

Be careful about the lte bands in the Motorola phones. The model should be international version or Europe version of the mobile.

I didn't asked about Telenor. I asked about daily package of Mobilink.
BTW Telenor Djuice's 125 Rs hybrid package is good which gives 2500 MB and 50 Rs balance if someone is getting good Telenor 4G and 3G speed.

As per my recent chat with Mobilink CSR, Mobilink has launched 4G in following cities. If you have 4G sim and getting 4G signals you can use 4G. I am going to replace my jazz 4G sim today to check Mobilink 4G.

EDIT: 3111 SMS helpline just replied that I should get a new LTE SIM from main office not franchise, and then contact the helpline for activation.

I wasn't told anything regarding purchasing a SIM within a one month buffer, but I was told that the new sim I got for my dad (I converted my dad to postpaid) and my current SIM are both 4g compatible.

But as to how to enlist ourselves in the trial, the guy said the numbers are preselected.

Could it be that the "Jazz Gold" customers are whitelisted for the trials?

I really want to know how their 4G compares vs. Warid in the same spot.

I tried it. I wouldn't say it's crap. It's certainly crap on one patch of Murree Road (near the stadium road).

This was exactly opposite their entrance - I parked the car where the houses (?) Were.

When I conducted the second test some 100 meters further down (towards the 9th avenue junction) the download speed jumped to 15Mbps. I stopped the speedtest midway, so I don't have a final result for that.

Maybe you should send me the GPS coordinates for the location you tested at. Also, shrubs and other obstructions can interfere as well.

That one bad patch I saw on Murree Road - I wouldn't say it was unusable, but download speeds were around 2 Mbps - ping was decent, which means that tower/cell is congested.

And another day:

But these patches are few and far in-between. Most of the time, speeds are decent. And perhaps when Mobilink starts 4g, those areas might improve (similar to how Zong's 3g performs better than 4g in Bahria Town).

Just got my LTE SIM.

I converted to postpaid and the Mobilink guy said that all new SIMs being issued are LTE compatible but LTE isn't activated on any of them and that testing is still going on.
He said that it's activated for employees and showed me a Speedtest on his phone and in the Mobilink office, we were getting 12 down and 10 up.

He said he'll activate LTE for me a week before the official launch which will be sometime in mid December and gave me his personal number as well.

Though I might just message 3111 and see if they can do it.

I've signed up for J600 + 5GB of data and my security deposit is 2500 because of international dialing and in case I ever get the BIS 'keera'.

Overall a very good experience at the office. Quick to convert my SIM and very hassle free. The only cellular network whose office I don't mind going to.

Oh and another thing I forgot to mention is that when talking about 4G, the guy said if you do manage to get it activated and start using it on postpaid, it MIGHT get charged separately from your 3G bundle.
Note that the word MIGHT is in caps.

So if you get bill shock from enjoying 4G, do keep this in mind.

4G activation on my number is a story itself. Let me tell you briefly.
.
1. As mentioned in my above post today morning I chatted with Mobilink CSR at their website and inquired about 4G launch. She said Mobilink has softly launched 4G in 20 cities including Faisalabad. And for 4G activation I should contact via sms 3111 or Ecare.
.
2. I had a Mobilink sim that I was using as data sim in Zong unlocked wingle (I ported that sim on Mobilink 3 Months ago). But that sim refused to connect on 4G.
.
3. When I contacted on 3111, he said 4G is available on those 20 cities and If I am in one of them I can use it on 3G packages. When I said 4G is not connecting, he replied I should go to CSC with CNIC and replace 4G sim against Rs. 100.
.
4. I converted back my data sim into conventional sim and went to Jazz CSS in Faisalabad and asked him to replace my sim with 4G. He didn't said anything like 4G is not launched yet or it is for trial on selected numbers, He replaced my sim immediately.
.
5. When I inserted 4G sim in my cell, it was still catching only 3G signals not 4G.
.
6. When I dial help line for LTE activation, a lady CSR straight away refused by saying that 4G is only available in Isb/RWP on selected numbers. And 4G sims have already been despatched to them. When I argued her that I have confirmed twice from Jazz chat and 3111 that 4G has launched and I just have to get 4G sim for LTE. But she was still insisting that 4G is not available in Faisalabad and I am saying sorry if they (chat n 3111) misguided me. But I asked her to connect my call to her supervisor, after 2 minutes hold she again said that I have confirmed now that 4G is not available in Faisalabad, but If I still want to talk with supervisor, I will be called by him within an hour. I said O.K (I didn't recieved it yet after more than 2 hours)

7. Than I again contact on jazz website chat and luckily got same lady who talked with me in morning. Upon inquiry she said even after 4G sim, 4G activation is necessary. And for 4G activation I should contact 3111.

8. When I contacted 3111, He said the guy who replaced my sim at CSC would activate 4G. I said website chat representative is saying you will activate and you are saying sim replacement guy will activate, what is this topi drama?
He said 4G automatically activate when 4G sim replaced. When I said 4G is not being connected even on LTE only mode, He asked my cell model number etc. And after some more discussion I received a msg that LTE services has been activated on my number. After restart 4G got connected on my number.

Is that postpaid or prepaid ( thinks premium speed on 4g too? ). Also try testing using other apps/websites e.g speedof.me

Currently I am at home and here mobilink 4G signal strength is -111 dBm. I will do Speedtest when I get full 4G signal at my work place.

I ported that number to jazz prepaid 3 months ago and converted that number to data sim. And today I converted back to jazz champion package and now using Jazz 3GB package in Rs. 250.
Waitinf for a place where I get full Mobilink 4G and Zong 4G signals for a proper comparison.

I am in contact with the same agent (Kanwal Ishaq), and now she's saying 4G is only available in 2 areas of Rawalpindi, one would be Gulrez (hint, hint [MENTION=63376]shaheerk[/MENTION]) and Bahria Town Phase 8.

Anyway, after going back and forth a hundred times on online chat, she kept insisting that I will get LTE signals when I'm in the coverage area and not otherwise. Apparently LTE was already activated when I was issued the LTE SIM, however the CSR at the office said LTE is not activated on this and that I would automatically get a SMS regarding LTE Services.

I haven't received any texts or anything so far, and setting the phone to LTE mode makes no difference at all. It stays on 4G, and I can confirm that I am in the Mobilink 4G coverage area, because my Warid SIM when on 4G shows that it's connected to 410-01 4G.
I still think there's some other reason behind it not working.
