Yeah i tried, but no luck.
3G -> 10-13 mbps, and 15 mbps at late night.
4G -> 3-4 mbps.

Maybe it's an overloaded tower, or something else...dunno. My guess is as good as yours.

Do you get normal speeds if you were, say, to go to the rooftop and try from there (open space factor) or go to another locality and try from there?

Every tower except the towers in posh areas of Pakistan are overloaded when it comes to zong.. Reason being shortage of damn bandwidth in the pipe.

I have tried everything like its something getting worse with the passage of time. Though I lodged a complaint and got a call from Zong that their team would like to visit the location and get the data and other stuff from my place, and would further evaluate it.
Filhal tou 3G pai chala raha hn, behtar chal raha hai. But I miss 4G :/

Bro I live in Phase 2, DHA. I guess it's also a posh area if you say so, but their service in my area is also getting worse. Not just here, but if you read the previous comments, people from other areas within Karachi has also seen a sudden decline in signals and speed from past 2 weeks.

Talking about islamabad posh areas where still you hit 60Mbps with ease .. Forget karachi.. Yeaterday took this snap neat f8 markaz islamabad.It was 60Mbps speed.. Khair thinking to move for better connection .. Ptcl and Zong merger for sharing their infrastructure will cost zong alot .. Dosra ptcl ha ye ab

Hahaha i truly respect your point. But for me speed in ISL doesn't really matter. I live in Karachi and for me it matter what speed I'm getting at my place, and sadly that speed is quite depressing.

I live in Rawalpindi - in a very non-posh area (Gulrez), and I can hit 2.2MB/s on the tower (with Zong's own speed test server).

I don't download heavy stuff at all, but if I ever have to, I know I won't face a lot of issues.

Also, it depends where in Gulrez I am otherwise due to instructions and stuff, the speed can go slow (inside my house, the speed reduces quite a bit).

Exactly waridtel also gives BIS but who knows if bb services will stay or NOT.. The bottom line is Zong is a sasta network with sasti services and stupid lame Customer services ..
Am waiting for warid to offer some exciting LTE packages.. Hayyyy kab aand ga wo din
