The new 8800 GTS already out

Hardware Canucks has scored a new EVGA 8800 GTS 112 SP SSC Edition, or the 8800 GT beater, as it's also known. Although they're still busy testing the card, they've put up a quick comparison in Crysis to the 8800 GT and the older 8800 GTS, as well as a Radeon HD 2900 XT.

The card has 112 Shaders instead of 96 as the 8800 GTS has had in the past. EVGA is selling this version as the SSC Edition and is aparently charging a small price premium for these cards as of right now.

The benchmark was run with the DX10 version of Crysis and here the new 8800 GTS is less than 1fps faster than the 8800 GT at 1,600x1,200, not exactly impressive considering the price difference.

First of all, Nvidia confirmed that 8800 GT and 8800 GTS 512MB will have a new video engine known as VP2, and, of course, this confirms that 8800 GTS 512MB is a new chip.

3. 8800 GTS

And i think 8800GT don't Support DX10.1 SM 4.1 am i right!!!
