well i played 7hours non stop AC2 after the 5 days of purchase! and ya its a JASPER offcourse

i hav a question!

i hav 32"lcd tv PHILIPS,when i connect my X360 with it via VGA it says "VDO NOT SUPPORTED" though VGA works on my LCD MONITOR! so any solution so i will able play on TV with 1080p with VGA cable! cauz AV cable is really urgh!
Same thing happened to me. And luckily I found a solution. The problem is that, when you connect ur 360 to ur LCD monitor, and set a resolution, xbox saves that resolution for VGA cable. And that resolution is not supported by ur HDTV. So, when you connect it to your HDTV, it displays that resolution and you get to see NOT SUPPORTED error. There is a trick for this. I forgot but you have to press and hold a few buttons on ur controller and xbox will automatically switch to lower most resolution and your HDTV will definitely show it. Search around internet for the keys needed to be pressed when turning on 360 to switch resolution mode to the least.

Hi guys. A relative is coming from the UK very soon and I need to decide fast if I should ask him to bring me an Xbox 360 Arcade. I already have a PS3 which I use for the serious/online gaming, but I kinda want to try other stuff too, especially since the blu-ray discs are so expensive. So I have a couple of quick questions before I ask for the console. Yeah I know they're probably answered somewhere in these forums but I really don't have the time to search and browse and need fast answers. So sorry for being annoying and thanks in advance.

1) Once I get the console, I'll want it modded. Should I just go to a local game shop and ask them to do it? Should I dig up a guide and attempt it myself? How hard/expensive is the procedure?

2) The console's going to be PAL since its coming from the UK, but as far as I know majority of the games are region free to begin with + games should be relatively easy to download and burn. Am I right in assuming these facts?

3) I read some stuff about an 'activation disc' or something similar. What exactly is that? Will some games require me to run that disc first?

4) As I mentioned earlier, I'm getting the xbox 360 for casual offline gaming and I won't be using LIVE (especially since microsoft just bans modified consoles now anyway). What I want to know is whether the ARCADE console's built in memory will be sufficient to play games. They don't require installation like PS3 games do they? Or will I need to purchase a hard drive for the console as well?

5) I use a samsung 1080p HDTV. So besides an hdmi cable, will I need anything else to run the console on it?

Thats about it guys. Again, sorry for asking some questions that probably have very obvious answers. I'm just in a big rush and really don't have the time to browse the forums or google too much. The sooner someone can give quick answers, the better. Thanks a lot again!

~ Cheers!

1) You should have it done from a shop, and since youre not gonna use live i suggest you get non stealth firmware, it will play all the stealth patched + the unpatched too + games from all the waves...
2) Most of the games are regionfree, and pal games can be easily found in the market and are easy to find on the internet.
3) You will not require an activation disk if you have non stealth firmware.
4) You should get an HDD, xbox360 installs games too and I suggest you do that cuz it makes the xbox run quieter and cooler...
5) Nope an hdmi cable would work fine...

hey everyone,

I brought my 360 along from america to pakistan and haven't played it since (its been a couple of weeks) so I had to buy a converter (voltage) but when i plugged it in, the red light began to flash and i turned it off there and then, is this what i think it means? Could it have been damaged b/c of the flight etc or was the converter not of the right specification?

Also, how much would it cost to repair and how much does it cost to modify the 360 in rawalpindi/islamabad for it to play pirated games?

Please help!

yaar does anybody have idea when ixtreme lt for liteon is coming so that i can play on xbox live.Lastly i played in august 2009 but havent played since then and after reading the reports and problems that are created when u r banned have made me remain away from live.

Ixtreme lite will surely solve this problem.Yaar this is the main problem when u do some illegal act.Har taraf say dar laga rahta kay kuch ho na jai.thats the main advantage of ps3 that u r assured that nothing wrong will happen. The genuine advantage.
