Waqar Younis given second term as Pakistan coach



Former Pakistan fast bowler Waqar Younis has been appointed national coach for a period of two years. He will join the team in June, having previously served as bowling coach of the Pakistan side in 2006-07 and as head coach in 2010-11.

"I am extremely pleased to have been selected as the head coach," Waqar said. "My immediate aim would be to prepare the team for the upcoming busy cricket season including the next year's ICC Cricket World Cup in Australia and New Zealand."

Great decision! I hope our pacers benefit from him yet again. Gul, for instance, was another bowler altogether under Waqar's supervision.

Not sure how Afridi will take this news. Or maybe he'll be handed the T20 captaincy lollipop as pacifier?

waqar is a good choice. my only concern is the behavior and favouritism style of moin khan(quite unlike professional). i might be wrong.

Pakistan will host New Zealand in UAE for three Tests, five ODIs and a Twenty20 international during November and December, the PCB confirmed on Wednesday.

Mohsin Khan is not happy lol. I believe one small coaching stint is not enough to consider him above waqar younis.

I think its a good decision , Waqar had a good coaching stint before plus he may just be the inspiration that Pakistani fast bowlers need atm.

It is expected to be confirmed on Monday that Mushtaq Ahmed, the former Pakistan legspinner, has been the latest of England's backroom staff to lose their job as Peter Moores reshuffles the backroom staff.

its pretty much confirmed and Mushy knows it too ...Mushy and Saqi are competing for a spin bowling coach spot in the Pakistani side.. !

Good move by PCB to appoint Mushtaq Ahmad as the bowling coach of the team. He was proving good for the English team and PCB thought of taking benefit from him themselves. Now our team is under the guidance of some great players who served the nation whole-heartedly as players and i am sure they will groom some good players with their experience.

Just at the county level , I dont think he would make it to the England side .... I guess he is eyeing IPL

He won't be fit enough for the national team. He can make an impact in the IPL with his power hitting and pace bowling.

    Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.
