England ready for another drubbing? they lost last time 5-0. :D

But they have a better chance this time. The English team is much more experienced than the present Aus side. They must use it to their advantage.

England bowling was real crappy, they cant even manage to break the partnership. They really need Hogard and Harmison back

Australia on top near the end of day 3, the pitch has really assisted turn bowling but English spinners just don't seem to have the zip or variety to take advantage of that. Shane Warne on this pitch would have run riot with the English batters ( though he'd probably run riot with English batters on any pitch lol )

Wooh... England just managed to survive as nos. 10 and 11 held on.
A nail biter match that was. Collingwood showed excellent concentration. he made 75 off 245 balls:v:

The crowd was absolutely amazing, haven't seen such a reaction since Sharjah. Great match should give England some hope and i guess Harmison and Onions will be included in the next match.

I couldn't see the first test and am annoyed about it, I guess it would've been exciting.

Andrew Flintoff announced his retirement today, he will retire after the series. He's been below par lately but England will still miss him.

England have done quite well uptill now in the 2nd test at Lord`s. 364/6 is a mighty good score and with Strauss at 161*, they can just cross the 400 mark

deja vu, after the first test i didn't think England had a chance in this series but now are well and truly on top with 269 runs ahead. Australia will need something magical to win from here onwards.

So Aus still need 70 runs to avoid the follow-on and both batsmen are tail enders. Who could`ve thought england would come back so strongly especially with their bowling after what they did in the first test?
And just look at the enthusiasm of the crowd, full houses throughout. That`s test cricket at its best (y)

Surprisingly, the pitch isn't that bad for batting. Maybe cloudy weather has helped James Anderson to swing the ball more than Hilfenhaus did. Unless English batsmen do a Pakistan, they have a 1-0 lead in this ashes.

The good thing is, Anderson has performed against another team, I was starting to think he was one of those players who play well only against Pakistan.

lol yeah :D exactly my thoughts. When it comes to collapses, both teams have a similarity dont they? But this Eng team is looking strong, they`ve been consistent in their 300+ scores till now.

Aussie require the English batting lineup to make a dramatic collapse just like Pakistan did otherwise they will be in deep deep trouble.
