Hardware performance-wise you won't be disappointed, XBSX/PS5 perform equivalent to a high-end PC. Both XBSX & PS5 have an AMD Zen 2, 7nm, 8-core CPU clocked at 3.8 & 3.5 Ghz respectively, which is equivalent to a low TDP version of AMD 3700X. Both XBSX & PS5 have a custom GPU that has 12 & 10.28 Terra FLOPS of performance respectively, it's a cutdown version of the Navi21 RX6800, that puts the performance bar somewhere between RTX2080 Super and RTX2080Ti.

Add 16 GB of GDD6 and a 1TB SSD that outperforms the fastest SSD available on PC coz it's directly linked to CPU. The fact that the consoles have a lighter OS and optimised games due to fixed hardware also contribute towards better performance than equal specced PC. In terms of value, the current gen consoles at their launch MSRP of $499 outperform a $1500 PC (at MSRP, not current scalper rates).

But it's a common practice that consoles are sold at a loss during initial years and as the hardware becomes cheaper/outdated the cost of production drops which turns into a net profit overt the life of that console. Also, a BIG profit comes from accessories and games.

And here is the BIG dilemma, while the cost of hardware is low, the cost of games is high. There are very few sales on Xbox or PS store, while Steam has frequent sales. Specially Steam's Pakistan store has lower prices than other countries, e.g., Cyberpunk 2077 launch MSRP was $29.99 in Pakistan while it was $59.99 elsewhere. Then there is backwards compatibility, all games purchased on steam stay playable but it's not the same with consoles. You have to buy new games for new consoles since backwards compatibility is very limited and it's not in their interest either.

Anyways, you would still be happy with either a PC, XBSX or a PS5, but if you have to choose one, then go with the one which has the exclusives that you want and is not available on other platforms. PS exclusives like Gran Turismo, God of War, Last of Us & Uncharted etc aren't on Xbox or PC. But some of Xbox exclusives, specially first party games by Microsoft like Forza, Gears of War and Halo etc end up on Windows as well. Likewise, some PC games aren't available on consoles.

Lastly, for some reason, in last gen, PS4 Vs XB One, Pakistani market favoured PS4 more. You will find more stock of PS4, games & accessories, hence better pricing than Xbox One stuff in Pakistan. Don't know how it turns up in current gen era.
