As you recommended i cleaned my gpu and reinstalled my thermal paste with a expensive 2thousand r.s one. According to experts here my gpu temperature should have decreased from 80+ on load and 40+ on idle but it didn't. I am using a ati 5670! i just bought a antec 902 casing haven't installed my pc do you think it will make a difference?

Al right who told you to get a high end tm that costed 2k? The diff it makes is max 5C NOT 40C. If you weren't using a side panel fan that throws air onto the GPU then you should it will def improve temps. And even for fans, no need to spend over 150 for it.

If applied properly, yes a good quality TIM will decrease idle and load temperatures. But this also depends on the ambient temperature of the surroundings as well as inside the case.

bro get everything in the case then get an antec spot cool for ur vga that ll help for sure n it wont cost you that much.
