A group of U.S. Navy SEALs are facing administrative punishment for their involvement in the development of military shooter Medal of Honor: Warfighter.
Some of the SEALs that acted as consultants for the EA game have been docked half their pay for two months and were issued letters of reprimand. The group of experts consisted of seven soldiers; some active duty, some veterans.
According to the the Department of Defense, the men divulged classified information while consulting on the game. They also allegedly violated an unwritten code that “SEALs are silent warriors who shun the spotlight.”
No details were released by the U.S. Department of Defense or EA about the classified information that the group of soldiers may have shared.
We’ve reached out to EA for comment; we’ll let you know what we hear.
