Sending a phone from here to the US

So basically, I have this "Motorola DROID RAZR M"... pretty popular phone in the market these days.
It's from Verizon.. so obviously to make it work in PK, they must have unlocked its IMEI.
If this very phone is taken to American, would it work?

I have no idea if having CDMA there would be an issue. I would appreciate if someone could walk me through the details

Also, is it feasible taking a phone from PK to US? Or should the phone be bought from US?

Buy a phone from US.

Most carrier branded devices (AT&T, Verizon, Sprint, Vodafone etc) are usually blacklisted in their country of origin. So, the phone will work, it won't connect to a network.
