Samsung Display Problem

A samsung 32" 4 series tv has been on computer duty since past 6 years. recently it has developed a problem where if I put on a still image(desktop wallpaper for example) for more than 30 minutes it gets burned in. If i turn it off for a further 30 minutes the burned in image disappears and the screen clears up as if it's a brand new TV. Another examply would be if I am playing a game for about an hour, the HUD of the game that generally displays Health, Weapon, Ammo whatever, gets burned in and can still be seen vaguely if the application is closed. Turning it off for 30 minutes does the trick again.

I would happily post pictures as an example but its so vague that only in moving scenes is it hideously apparent. It didn't used to be much of a problem but now it's increasing which prompted me to search for fixes online.

Generally on normal TVs burn-in used to take atleast 8-10 hours to develop on an old Plasma TV if a still image is left on overnight. And on LCDs it happens to a much lesser extent.

Is this a power supply problem of some sort? Something electrical related? Capacitors or whatever?

Here is an example. Screen burn-in - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I've searched the internet everywhere for something similar but to no avail. There are many other burn-in related articles but this unique kind of burn-in problem is unheard of. I like to call it temporary burn-in. lol.

Are there guys here with the kind of technical expertise who do DIY repairs on electronic items here?
