Ryzen 5 1600X vs i5 8400? (Buying advice)

Hello everyone.
As the title says I need help in choosing between the two. I already did an extensive research on which is better but instead I got myself in a bag of mixed thoughts and doubts.

I'm looking for performance in gaming,streaming/recording gameplays,response times and launching apps (such as chrome or Photoshop). I don't do much video rendering but still render large files of 2-3GB once awhile.
All help is appreciated, though please do explain why one is better than the other or why I should pick the other.

Is gaming primary priority? Then go for 8400

Yh gaming is the top priority but so is streaming.

EDIT: Also forgot I stream and record gameplays too .. soo I don't want that to be affected as well .

Soo can the i5 8400 handle it as the 1600x or better? in terms of gaming performance and recording/streaming.

If you do streaming then definitely go for 1600 also since 2600 is out now go for that if you can tho there is not a game changing difference between them.

Okay.. I heard that the intel is better for gaming performance.. soo how much "better" is it actually?
Like is there a huge FPS difference (15-30fps) or not alot (3-10fps) ?

Also if going with the Intel i5 8400, then what can I expect while streaming or recording? like what sort of problems or issues?

1600x comes with an unlocked multiplier and can be overclocked as well.
AMD would be a better choice if you are searching for an all round performance.

Hmmm right, Ryzen seems like the better option. But got 2 more last questions.

1) I get it That the Ryzen performs way much Better for multitasking and all but why does it under-perform when it comes to gaming because 20-30fps is really alot?
Like both of them can bet pushed to 4ghz easily and Ryzen got 6 six cores too.

2) Does anyone know where can I get the X400 series motherboards for the new gen Ryzen & how much do they cost?
(I reside in islamabad)
