I've been playing this game for a few hours now. The netcode is GGPO3, it is absolutely amazing. Playing at around 300+ pings and still the matches are fairly playable. I'm homing to get some Pakistani's on the game so I can have some lag-free matches.

Game's really easy to get into, here's a brief breakdown of what the game has to offer:

- You have 8 buttons;
Light, Medium & Heavy Punches.
Special 1, Special 2 & Special 3 (Each special move is performed just by pressing a button and each special has a cool-down. Like MMO's and MOBA's so you can't spam the button)
Throw button and an OVERDRIVE! button. (You have a dedicated throw button and a dedicated Super Move button. Think Super Arts in Street Fighter and Desperation Moves in KOF)

- Kinect Advance
This is basically a FADC from Street Fighter, but you can do it on almost any normal move or special move. During the frames of any normal/special/throw if you dash forward or backward you character will cancel the animation he was going to do and dash forward or backwards, it only works if you hit opponent, projectiles can be cancelled regardless if they hit or not. Great way to get out of tricky situation or to extend your combo or to keep doing mixups.

- Kinect Deflect
This is basically a combo breaker akin to Killer Instinct, it can only be activated while you are getting hit, it forms a barrier around you and if you get hit while being in the barrier you deflect that attack, take no damage and then the opponent gets knocked away.

- Universal Crossup
Each character has a crossup, which is performed by pressing down + Heavy and only works if you're jumping forward or straight up.

Other than all that, it's basically your run of the mill fighting game. You have cancels, links, juggles, ground bounces, overheads, the works.

Here's where you need to register to get a key for the Alpha : Rising Thunder

I have one spare key if anyone needs it.

Played this for an hour or so. It's really easy to learn, took me less than 20 minutes to start working out follow ups. Been using Chel so far as my main, thinking about experimenting with other characters.
