Hey guys thinking of buying a cheap beater car and doing some restoring to it. Don't have a lot of money which is why I'm wondering if this kind of thing is good to get an old car to run for a few years for cheap? Anyone have any experience with this?

This is a kind of video demonstration of what I wanna do but I'm still not sure how to go about with it + costs.

a friend of mine bought a similar car.....he has been using this car for a couple of months now.

His mechanic says it will take 30k-40k to fix up the car so that all the creaks and groans are gone. The rear shocks are done.

In the end it will totally depend on your budget and whether you manage to get hold of a car with less mileage and in good condition.

Others have also managed to restore civic 1996 models....
