Hey guys!

My name is Haseeb. I was born in Pakistan (Lahore) and have grown up in Canada. I have loved video games for a very long time. Ever since I got my Nintendo 64 (my first console) I have been obsessed. I have done almost everything related to gaming. I purchase and play a lot of games, develop a little bit as a hobby, and even have tried out music composition. I keep up with all the latest gaming news, which is what brings me to this forum. I want to try my hand at some games journalism, specifically related to the Pakistani Gaming community.

I am very interested in the Pakistani Gaming community, and feel that the representation of the general gaming community is very biased. When it comes to representation, this community is clearly divided into three major regions; North America, Europe, and Japan. I feel this to be very unfair. In this world where third-world countries are rapidly approaching second, and first, world status I feel that there needs to be more coverage for the areas that do not fall withing those three major regions. This is why I want my first gaming journalist project to be focused on the Gamers that everyone else forgets.

I am looking for a few people who would be available for some quick interviews. They can be conducted through a chat (facebook, discord, etc) or video/audio (skype, hangouts, etc). There are no qualifications that I am strictly looking for; the more perspectives I get, the better. This article that I will compose won't be published for a major gaming platform, but will be a personal blog post on Kotaku's readers blog. Hopefully it will gain some traction and raise some sort of awareness for this community.

I hope I'm not breaking any rules for posting this, I don't think I am, and I look forward to all the responses!

Thanks for taking the time to read this through.

Sorry for the late reply! I've been away for a bit.

Some questions I'd like to ask are about gaming accessibility. Is it easy to buy games and where can you purchase them from? Are the prices affordable? What are the general public's view on gaming? Is it really popular, or frowned upon or what have you. I'd also love to know about the gaming scene. Major events, social/political impacts, and maybe any issues regarding religion would be on high interest for me.

The reason I requested a more personal way of communication is due to the fact that I'd also want a lot of personal information. I would like to know more about you as a person, your experience with gaming, and maybe even your social/financial standing, in order to get the clearest picture. Of course I would make this information private if requested.

Best way...which will be the most easist for everyone involved..I think, is to make a google survery, write down all the details , questions, information you want, and people can answer it at their leisure and also whatever information they want to share, they will put it down themselves

In regards to sitting down and talking to someone, that would mean arranging a meeting and then you will personally have to find people on forum

may I ask why are you interested in this as a topic and to what purpose are you going to use the data ?

Started Dead Island 2, and i find it pretty lame. The story is shit. The characters are either cringe or bland (all 6 of them), The gameplay isn't fun. Even the goddamn zombies don't behave like proper zombies. They're all fast & intelligent unlike how zombies are supposed to be like. Any fan of "zombie" genre cannot possibly like this shitfest of a game. Dying Light 2 was million times better than this shit.

tbh gaming industry as a whole is failing much like tech industry. They have buckled down too much to Corporate suites then relying on passionate and innovative people. A corporate only believes in financial growth and shareholders.
